Hi all, I was just wondering whether anyone here has an experience with trying VSED on their own or terminal dehydration and whether you think it's a viable method? Thankw

It's not easy to do without medical help. It can lead to delirium and leave you Wondering around etc.

I doubt VSED would be peaceful. They used starvation by enmurment as a punishing death penalty in the past.
Also if you break down and eat you can also get refeeding syndrome and that is also not particulary nice.
Dehydration would make one feel miserable probably and while confused one has probably a high chance of accidentally stumbeling over a person and getting help.

I've done some research that VSED is somewhat a peaceful method, but I'm not sure what it's like without morphine or other pain relief, whether it's necessary. I've heard about refeeding syndrome and know to break fast with small amounts of light food and small sips of water. I'm not sure what to believe because I did a 72 water fast recently and felt completely normal like I could go forever, and more recently I saw a comment from someone on YT say their last few hours of their 72 hour water fast was always "pure hell" lol. So I don't know. Thanks for reply anyway.

I made it 4 days without food and water. Then couldn't stop eating ice chips. I made it two weeks without food but with the ice chips and the thought I could end up wandering outside naked or something decided to quit.
