Unsuccessful suicide attempt

Hey,
I jumped at the start of April 25m onto a motorway and like you am still in hospital almost 5 months on. What are your injuries? How much do you remember? Would be good to chat I've never spoken to anyone who could even comprehend what I'm going through right now and really feel for you being in this situation too.

The list of my injuries is long and grievous. From broken bones in the shin resulting in a below the knee amputation, to dislocated knee, to spinal injuries restricting muscle function in the hamstrings and glutes, and the bladder and bowel. Internal bleeding in vital organs like stomach, my foot doesn't work. Plus, ma dick don't work . Joking, it dies work but I've lost sensation and the ability to see properly. Yeah so that's pretty much all I could remember at the top of my head, there's probably much more.

I only remember looking over the ledge and thinking no way, then walking back towards my house, then bam wake up in hospital with this guy over me telling me what happened. Truly mysterious.

Do you plan to attempt ctbing again or was that it for you? For me I'm going to do it as soon as I get out of this place.

That's really strange how you don't remember we jumping. How much function do they think you will gain back? I'll be moved to a specialty spinal unit at some point. I also have lost use of my bladder, what caused that for you? I'd really like to speak to you maybe in PM about it. There's probably no one else in the world I'd get to talk to that would understand like you would.
I have a ridiculous list of injuries but it was pelvis, stomach, pancreas, spleen and liver that would of killed me if they hadn't saved me. I bled out massively internally ended up with hell of a lot of blood transfusions. They then all ended up septic as all the fluids were mixing together. I really feel for you mate, trapped and in agony and nothing we can do about it. Please chat to me if you want or need to.

And if I did see you post I'm so sorry I missed it. I'm so drugged up on fentanyl, gabapentine, diazepam and about a million other drugs.

Hey, sorry been offline for a few days.

Jumping felt like freedom if that makes any sense & the time till you hit the ground seems longer than it should be.

Hitting the pavement was bad, instant pain that brings you back from the fuzzy but total desire to do what you have just done, kind of a "oh Fu*k" before you pass out, followed by many more over the course of the next few months as you struggle with the fact that trying to kill yourself has just resulted in you being unable to do jack shit for the foreseeable future.

I'm so sorry you've ended up with those permanent injuries all this time later.
Also what did you jump from and how high of that's ok to ask?
Struggling with having no one to speak to about it that actually understands the sheer horror of everything.

1. How long were you conscious after hitting the ground?
2. What would you rate pain when you hit on a scale of 1 to 10? Can you describe it?
3. How high did you jump from and did you land head first? Was it difficult to maneuver your body the way you wanted to on the way down?

A few mins i think.
After nearly 27yrs of chronic pain it is still my go to number 10 when asked to rate pain, hard to describe the pain from multiple injuries other than to say i wouldn't recommend it.
Sadly only about 45-50ft & landed feet first. Yes it would be impossible from any height without skydiving experience as it's hard to move once you hit the friction of the air rushing past, the only way to increase your chances of landing a particular way would be to work out the jump angle.

Sorry but i honestly have no idea if i believed you or not, the only person i remember seeming offish was the lad that had Pm'd me a few times then stopped. So apologies, I've been off in my own little depressed world & only saw this thread again when someone quoted me.
