I would, but I will need my computer with me. An animal companion would also be nice.

I would also take dry and canned food with me, as I dont eat meat. Also, I dont have skills to build a cabin, but i can teach the wolves, and bears how to code? :smiling:

The guy in this video has some serious building skill

No. But I already exist in modern isolation.

I don't think I could do it. Maybe if I was on an exotic island and could swim everyday, enjoy coconuts and fresh fruits, picking shellfish and most importantly - if I find a stash of rum that belonged to pirates... then maybe! :)) But I would miss a shower, fresh sheets and clean clothes, and mosquitos would kill me.

well, if you living in ice cold conditions you not going to be bothered by mosquito. You can take you own rum., but the bears might steal it from you, wolves won't. Just be careful, when you see your grandmother at the cabin's frontdoor, it may be a wolf in disguise...

Haha, Little Red Riding Hood! One of my favorite childhood fairytale stories.
I've read an article a month ago, how a few bears broke into someone's cabin and stole all the food and alcohol!!! :))
But if you live in ice cold conditions you will have to face even more problems - hypothermia, frostbites, a high risk of developing a chronic joint pain, lack of vitamin D. Cold environment is not friendly to humans.

Bears are alcoholics ! :smiling:

You can survive in the cold if you have the right clothing, wool is recommended.

Not only bears! Mooses come to backyards here and eat fermented apples and like to get drunk :)) and I know dogs and ducks who seek for psychoactive mushrooms. They know good stuff!
No type of clothing would prevent me from freezing, there's something wrong with my circulation. But other people can endure it. Question is... Is it enjoyable?

I feel like this is something I'd WANT to do but couldn't. I'm too used to modern convinences that I couldn't last this way for more than two days.
It wouldn't be following the rules, but having another person with me that'd do the hard work (hunting and building and whatever) would be kind of dreamy...? While I just sit there and look good. Lol

It's a fantasy. There's no way. I used to think I wanted to go to Siberia and 'go crazy for a year'...this was a long time ago prior to the explosion of the Internet. People...young people have fantasies about going off but it's just not so. It's a delusion. The guy in Alaska did it and he starved and poisioned himself on berries. I forgot the name of the movie about him. Into the Wild. He was close to a road...didn't know...and got fucked by reality. But maybe he was done...Idk...but it sucked.
