... but now I'm starting ECT on Thursday and I'm bricking it. (Not due to the overdose, long term thinking thing.)

Sorry I didn't update, I've felt awful the past few days, took 4grams of immediate release, I wasn't sick and and I'm clearly too fat so it didn't work... Obviously as here I am! Though my oxy sats dropped nice and low to the point I got my hopes up in my drowsy drowsy state.
No apology necessary, sweetie. I like your avatar.

And can I just pipe in again how important it is getting the right anti-emetics for any overdose attempt?

Unless of course you are just making a gesture (no judgment if there's no other way to get help or have people take you seriously) - then don't take an anti-emetic, take your pills, vomit, ask for help.
I didn't have access to anti emetics, I'm in a psych ward, it took them a very long time to notice too. Didn't want or ask for help but also wasn't sick.

Somethings work somethings don't, this hospital notices very, very little and it's not unheard of people ODing very nearly successfully. I did this as I'd lost my unescorted leave and wasn't quite up to ligature strangulation. But thanks for the sarcasm, now aware it was a stupid decision...

You attempted to od in psych hospital wow

I was in a month ago, i tried partial suspension in my room using a belt and the door, couldnt pass out so gave up, forgot to take the chair away from my door. As they did theur checks an hour later i was so pissed i screamed at him, he tried to enter my room but couldnt get in. I was so out of it from taking cocaine and alcohol. They managed to get i eventually, checked me and left taking all my belongings with them, next day gave it all back including the belt id used, she just said it wouldnt work and gave it back.

Other patients had cut themselves with blades they snuck in, got taken to get wounds stiched up, returned to their room and the blades they used were where they left them, so they cut again.

Seems aslong as your breathing still they let you get on with it. Only a death makes them literally stop people being able to attempt

I see, and yeah some do some don't, it depends how sneaky you can be as well. I'm far too sneaky for my own good. And yeah I'm okay now... Unfortunately!

I would love to hear how your ECT goes. It's a miracle for some people.

I'll try to let people know, I kind of still "want" to suffer so that I'll actually die and not have to live on... But I know how different my mindset is when I'm "well". I'll try and keep up with a blog type post on the ECT if people would be interested.

You know, you might feel better in spite of yourself. I'm rooting for you to have a good outcome!
