this is the final night, can’t believe it

Can't believe after 20 odd years on this planet, I finally have figured out what I truly want. I'm not sure if it's particularly going to work, I'm using a nitrous oxide canister and a plastic trash bag. Might have a couple hits before I attempt just to feel happiness one last time. Death cannot be harder than life, can it? Haha. I'll be lurking and talking to people on here before I attempt because even though I don't know any of you personally, I feel like this community felt like a breath of fresh air when everything around me was falling apart. So come say hi, never too late to make friends. You're all beautiful people and if you have any final tips for me, I'll greatly appreciate it. I'm in the process of writing my final note now, hopefully I'll be able to say it all.

please be rational with your decision, if you end up surviving the attempt because it's unreliable, you will most likely return to this forum with a post saying your attempt failed and you'll seek other methods. Are you aware that your method of suicide may be painful?

I agree that the reliability is unknowable… but from what little I've read about it, the whole point of this method/non-method, whatever you want to classify it as, is that it is supposed to be painless.

You guys were right. It didn't particularly work. Couldn't really fill up that bag satisfactorily. However the gas knocked me out and I ended up sleeping through half the day. I guess ctb can wait another day, I'll probably do some more research into methods that are cheap and accessible. Feeling pretty down tonight haha.
