  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

Guys, I am really tired of all that stuffs (dbt, cbt, whatever...)

The problem is that I can't feel any kind of confidence or hope about therapy

So, it's time to leave....therapists, no more !

This make any sense to u ?

Of course it makes sense to me!
I've tried 10 different therapists and they only wasted me time.

Sure, therapy helps some people but I guess I'm just not of those.

I know what you mean. It feels hopeless to me. And seeing several over time? Jesus fucking Christ, it gets so exhausting starting over. I just don't know if I want to waste anyone's time anymore...

It has been already proven by many members that Therapy rarely works and in my opinion, it's a waste of money and time

I agree. Therapy = waste of money and time. Rather play good games and enjoy good food.

There shouldn't be such an onus on the patient to get better because it's a two-way street. Going through the same process over and over again is bound to become soul-killing; like kissing too many frogs.

I have met once a woman who had problems with alcohol and drug addiction. Because of that she tried several therapists. But she said it didnt work she still has addiction problems.

I have been suggested the idea of therapy before, and while it may work for some people, I just feel that talking cannot fix most problems, it certainly cannot fix any of mine.

Therapy on it's own is not sufficient to address a substance abuse addiction.

Therapy does not cutre physical addictions but if somebody has underlying problems within mental health those have to be addressed. One just will lead onto the other. You can dry out from alcohol or drug addiction much more comparatively quickly than you can ever tackle memtal health problems.

Therapists, psychiatrists, doctors in general, I've given up on all of them! I'm never taken seriously when I go to a doctor whether it's for physical or mental issues

If you use logic you'll figure out that if you are visiting SS, you're most likely suicidal and therapy isn't working for you. Therefore there's a biased appraisal of therapy by SS members.

I've never tried therapy but I'm very skeptical about it. I spoke to a psychiatrist once and that was awful, so if it's anything like that I want to stay as far away from it as possible. That said I know others have benefitted from therapy because they say that it helped them and I don't take them to be liars. I would maybe try it but I believe it also costs money, something I have very little of. Wouldn't pay unless I'm confident it's going to do something for me really.
