• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Finally a place where I can be honest. Have come to see that most of the mental health industry is a self-serving scam that promotes false hope. I'm 50, male, worked my ass off all my life, and have nothing tangible to show for it. Teach as adjunct in higher ed. Paid by the course. No job security. Always a scramble to pay bills. Students love me, teaching awards. Published book with top press, Ivy PhD. Have tried everything to find an actual job. No real transferable skills, though infuriatingly everyone wants to give me advice and "solve" an impossible situation. No one will date me and have had women literally cry when I tell them what I do for a living. Gambled my life on a dream that ideas matter. It's a fundamental lie. CTB is dignity at my age.

I'm actually in a fairly similar situation and couldn't agree more about the mental healthcare system, which I have become unfortunately familiar with in the last year. Send me a dm if you'd like to talk, I think it may be helpful.

I am sorry you feel that way, if you have anxiety or depression or similar, you could look into trying the ketogenic diet, I know that's probably not what you want to hear, but it could be helpful. Otherwise I recommend reading the PPH, and being very thorough with your method if you truly decide that it's what you want/need, best of luck friend.
