I was the little girl that swore she'd never smoke.
I was the little girl that swore she'd never do drugs.
I was the little girl that swore she'd never drink.
I was the little girl that swore she'd never be 'fake happy'.
I was the little girl that swore she'd never have s*x before marriage.
I was the little girl that swore she'd never get a divorce.

Every personal rule I had set out for myself....broken. not one still true.
And I wish I could take it all back...but whats done is done. you cant change the past....

When you're hurting, your main focus is to find relief for that pain. Drugs often provide that kind of relief. Putting on a happy face is often necessary for pragmatic reasons. Even though when you get married you expect to remain married for the rest of your life, you can't predict with absolute certainty how you're going to feel later on. It seems marriage is in general a coin flip nowadays.

I'm sorry Hun but don't feel bad, most people do all the above and never give it a second thought I'm sure you've also positively achieved things you wanted to do, it's important to remember them and write them down too

I understand this feeling, where we look with bitterness, what we have become, what life has forced us to do

Regret reigns, loneliness, resentment, pain, despair...

I am truly sorry that you suffer like this ❤

Even if there are a lot of things you regret today, I'm sure there are also a lot of things you can be proud of ❤

This little girl has become strong and brave, I'm sure this little girl is sacrificing her well being for the people she loves, I'm sure this little girl is smart, is caring

And just because this little girl didn't know how to keep what she swore to herself doesn't make her a shameful, bad person! ❤

I think this little girl was already very strict with herself at that time, perhaps giving herself little room for error

But you know sweet @Life_and_Death , mistakes are part of success, and you can already be proud of yourself for what you've been able to accomplish since you were young ❤

Don't be so hard on yourself and take care of yourself ❤
