--December 14
Maybe earlier in the day, I get the Arduino thermometer also displaying Fahrenheit, spend a little time on roomzy chatroom in chatzy
maybe 1pm to 4pm on TV:
hoover dam building documentary (watched only part)
alaskan pipeline construction documentary, where they show overcoming challenges from permafrost and hot oil, to environmental challenges
several episodes of intervention show, brittany (high, maybe on H, lost job due to it), another episode has drunk bf but I didn't watch much of it, etc
the pressure episode has: firefighting, shaving cans, and water cutting jets.
the pump episode has water pumps and mining pumps

slept and woke earlier 10pm, 8am (Idk if I slept for mote than 9 hours, or idle time exceeded 1h)
gathered several pickaxes and went mining, the spare chest I took with me came in handy, hid 21 diamonds I found too, and discovered how gravel can subdue lava.
Modern Marvels about rocks: concrete. marble, iron. sand
tiny bit of the Laurie and Jessie episode of intervention
radar bought britain more time in ww2, and reduces the effectivity of Luftwaffe aircraft from Germany, Germany somehow didn't target the radar, and lost some airpower.
build plus symbol with multi colour clay in mc, and share in chat, @Noir finds it cool. Watch some YT about how kidney failure works.
---December 16th
see @Rack after a while, also share minetest game screenshots (I learnt about the game in roomzy), including a grey and red stone house, had to travel a bit to get unclaimed land (played online, server was active), brief chat with users there, exchanging emoji
watch Modern Marvel show about the inside of walls, from pest control and construction, to wires, smart home systems, and wireless monitoring (radar sensors and thermal cameras). Brief viewing of another episode, involving the testing of permanent and temporary security barriers, and even vehicle scanning tech (rfid)
---December 17th
the seti search is described on show, with large arrays of satellites and computers to analyse the data.
arduino randomly stopped after 7000s, and somehow refused to reprogram, I didn't take photos of the lil program I made
went walking to get tomato soup and honey soy chips (the pringles weren't stocked in the crisps section, maybe the store rotates the snacks)
perchlorates (toxic mineral that's food for bacteria) and silica (like found near hot springs) on mars
phoenix mars rover stopped in 2008, it discovered water may exist on mars, and as of the show's airing (idk, maybe 2009 to 2012 or so), the data is still being analysed.

Room was cleaned with (lots of extra) assistance, and cupboard finally tidied with sections for different types of clothes, more socks found, and room swept.
Watched lots of the intervention (about Trent's recovery), decay of older buildings, etc...
news had a story on North Indian smog, and mitigation strategies, like banning older diesel trucks, spraying water on streets, and remote work/schooling, news of police evicting migrants from an abandoned france school due to safety, news about openAI talking about regulations, fake coup video about French President Macron, and even artists being ripped off with AI songs of their likeness. shockingly, terror struck Bondi, the suspect (named) is awaiting trial.
now (6pm) briefly watching about a second bridge's design (for New Orleans) using prefabrication for the build, larger slabs that sped up construction or so, and bigger cranes, than the last bridge.
Even police and safety crew get involved (assisting in fog too), and some nice yellow semi-digital signs. There's even a rescue basket with emergency gear.
A short section of disconnected bridge with spare parts were built to repair it after barge strikes, with radar and alarm systems to alert barge operators, there's even under bridge inspection cranes!
(7pm) tunnel show (modern marvels), features new Athens Public transportation tunnels being designed, there's a challenge of archeological evidence buried... like 3000 year old mycellium pottery and art. That's why (later in the show) construction started 25m below the surface.
I learnt greece was annexed by rome in 148BC, also the show even mentions a little about Early Christianity history in Ancient Greece, and some talk about culture.
Wow Athens Public Transport system was first developed in 1886 (line 1)
Tunnel boring machines, which can accurately dig from 6 to 25m or so, spin at 4RPM, and bore 24m a day, were used. People even celebrate when they cut through to the station.
filled wells, with broken and old pottery (also styles of pottery change regularly!) stopped the tunnelling sometimes, due to it's archeological value, and the New Austrian Tunneling method was used, at a slower, 1-1.5m/day, to prevent subsidence near Ancient Churches.
Keremikos station was abandoned because finishing it could risk the artefacts (and the risks were maybe too tricky to mitigate there).
There's a museum section within the metro, and recovery of those archeological items might not have occured without the metro's development.
1 in 10 Greek users might've used the expanded metro tunnels on their opening (the metro looked quite packed on opening day or so)
