Dear SS community,
I never thought that I would find a community of like minded people, with whom I can discuss topics related to life, suicide etc in a free manner without risking hospitalization. I was elated when I found this community. This community feels like a cozy home, where we can truly share how we are doing, how we are feeling without getting brutally mocked or bullied.
This community has provided me a space to truly share my thoughts. This community felt like a safe space to truly vent. This would not be possible outside this community. I got to interact with other members of this community who come from all walks of life. I've had positive interactions with the members here. The members here are truly supportive and understanding.
Unlike what others say (ex: Tantacrul ), this community is not vehemently a pro-suicide forum. That is just plain false. This community is a pro-choice forum. This community doesn't encourage suicide, instead it supports the member's choice. Whether it be that the member has decided to CTB or the member has decided to start their recovery process, the members respect the other member's choice without forcing the member to change their decision. I can attest to the fact that this community is pro-choice as I have been a member since Aug 22.
Also, I am personally happy that this community has the suicide-resource info. Why so, it's because I believe that the individual must have a choice of whether to CTB or to continue living. The suicide info is there so that members can decide their optimal method, and the suicide resource in no way encourages members to CTB, only a member can decide what is best for them.
Dear SS community, thank you for being truly non-judgmental, understanding and supportive. I've had positive interactions with the members here. Also, thank you Admins and Mods of SS. It's no easy task running a site like this, I appreciate your work. I hope that this community continues to be a safe place where people can truly share how they feel, how they're doing, and freely discuss about suicide without getting censored.
Thank you SS community. Y'all have been nothing but understanding, supportive and non-judgmental. I sincerely wish y'all can successfully find your peace and freedom in whatever you chose, whether it be the decision of recovery, or to CTB, I wish y'all peace and freedom.
