Could tea tree oil be used for suicide?
Apparently ingestion causes a decreased level of consciousness, ataxia, and confusion. In one case a child was given a small amount and went into a coma, though he recovered. But still.

Forgive me if it's a dumb question, but the question has been on my mind for a good while lately.

It should be toxic indeed :) But no death cases reported*. There are problems with serious side effects. Vomiting and ataxia do not sound peaceful (maybe sedatives?). I don't know, this option could be explored more. Interesting idea.

* "A child went into a coma from which he recovered" etc.

Tea tree oil LD50 is 2g/kg so for someone 70kg its 140ml of it. We can find bottle of 250mL everywhere. Could be possible to CTB with it ? Some people have tried ?

I often think about this idea, sometimes I want to be the guinea pig for this method. There's no box report online, maybe nobody's ever tried it... I can't get it out of my mind that there's one or more possible methods that have never been reported...
