Greetings,

the title already suggests what I want to discuss here today.

Let's say someone decided to catch the bus by jumping from 20 - 24 stories. That should be about 200 - 240 feet (60m - 75m), right? Now, let's also say, this hypothetical person somehow survived that. Doesn't matter how, but they survived..... What state is this person in?

I think my worst nightmare would be being left in even worse mental and physical condition after failing to die of such a height somehow. Knowing someone that suffered of locked-in syndrome after a stroke was enough for me, to be honest. I couldn't imagine the hellish pain alongside something like that, too.

What do you think?

Regards

I think your fears are very valid, its also my worst fear and failure is not an option,. Having said that no method is full proof every method has a varying degree of risk even a firearm. Person like me gets anxiety/panic attack, from thinking about the failure of CTB plan.

Now the Million $$ question is how to address and alleviate the risk fear and maximize the probability of success. As the alternative of not doing it is not bearable or acceptable.

3 strategies I am trying to apply are
1) extensive research and learning (may be its a story tell myself to label my overthinking:)
2) Practice feel the spot visualization of the action and get more mentally acclimated and comfortable
3) Backup if in US DNR through healthcare advance directive.

The mortality rate of falls from 18m or more are rounded up to 100% so u wont be survivng such a thing and i wouldnt worry about it.
Dont land on your feet and try to land on a flat surface but even if u do both of these things your chances of living are still pretty much 0.
If a miracle happend u will most likely end up in a coma, mentally or/and physically disabled or u just might break a few bones and walk again there is so many variables in play to what injuries u might get that its impossible to know for sure but u will for sure make headlines as its pretty much impossible to survive that.
Much love and good luck 🤗

Your chance of surviving an uninterrupted drop of 200 feet is very small, especially if you land on a hard surface such as concrete. However, if you do survive you would be in a very bad state. It would probably mess up the rest of your life.

Not nearly as high, but there was a user on here who claimed that he jumped 16 stories and lived, but that was a freak incident. Iirc he landed on his feet, broke everything from the pelvis on down. I don't remember if he was able to relearn how to walk or not, but I believe he said he had chronic pain from it.

I read a story a few years back of a girl who jumped and survived and she was in so much physical pain with a lot of broken bones that she ended up taking poison and ending her life.

I think she had only survived because the height wasn't that long but hey it's all up to you. All the best with any method you end up choosing.

A simple rope and noose would increase lethality to 100%.

The worst I have heard is people who basically completely shatter every bone. Months in a bed recovering, a lifetime of learning to move again (if you can), and most likely residual pain. A lot can go wrong with jumping if you live.

It depends on how you fall: if you fall on a tree? Elseother? A tree you can increase your chances of survival..

The best is to jump from very high, from at least ten floors.

My friend committed suicide like that, I know another girl who did the same: 16 floors.

She died on the spot.

If I had to do it, I would do it as high as possible. Because if you survive this shit.. fuck: no bone, you will be paraplegic, a real vegetable. You won't talk anymore, you won't do anything anymore and you'll just wait for another death. No one will let you go and you will suffer..
