been researching about suicide notes and police investigation on suicide. Police only take the suicide notes, because if the "suicide" is a cover-up murder, they have to keep that as evidence. If they rule it as a straight suicide, after all investigation, and the investigation is closed, then they will give all evidence back to the families. Even if you die from hanging, they will give the rope back. You can request they destroy it though. I don't know if i want to send delayed emails still, after i end up ctb.

I know a police officer in the uk and they told me if the police get to you first and find your note it's up the police if your suicide note gets passed to family. They said if it says anything spiteful or if you blame anyone specifically for killing yourself then your note will not be given to the person. I'm not 100% sure as I'm not a police officer and haven't killed myself yet. I just thought it was interesting when they mentioned it. (They don't know I'm suicidal so it wasn't information aimed at me to scare me)

Interesting information. Never considered police involvement after a suicide. I'm pretty much a broken record with this...but...for me there's not going to be any notes, emails etc... definitely one of those things people will decide for themselves. Helpful for some people, not to others. Thanks again for the police stuff- very interesting.
