No life, no problems

Many people say suicide is never an option, no matter what happens, you should never ever give up! Doesnt matter what illness you have, what problems in life you have, doesnt matter which disability you have, it doesnt even matter what your circumstances are, you should never give up! Because only cowards and weak people give up, and suicide should never be an option! Because there is always another solution than death. And it always gets better of you fight hard, and never give up. Are they really right tough? Should you never give up, always fight, no matter how hopeless it seems?

Suicide should be an option. We have the choice to live our lives our way, so why shouldn't we be able to decide how and when we die?
It only makes someone feel bad to say they're a coward for even considering suicide.

They're thinking of themselves but if that isn't obvious to you then you're doing the same.

Suicide is definitely an option when you're 99% certain you're going to die, and you're living with increasing disability and pain every day.

It's a personal choice when it comes right down to it. Some people will suffer through their last days. Some people would like to let go.

Saying you should never give up is a pointless blanket statement.

We have to go after our dreams. I worked hard and I did it. Yesterday morning I woke up and said "Today I will eat watermelon" I bought a watermelon from the market and ate it in the evening. No matter how difficult it is to continue, imagine.

The people who say that suicide is never an option usually lack empathy. They don't understand why a person feels the need to commit suicide, and they demand that we continue to live and suffer at their behest while providing no real support whatsoever. They insist that we take responsibility for our lives, but not for our deaths. Because obviously death should be left to the vagaries of fate.

Unfortunately, empathy isn't innate to human nature. It's a learned trait. And so most people don't learn to have empathy, perhaps because it's not advantageous for them personally.

Suicide does not solve problems, destroys them. That's why it makes sense to me. I don't think the gifts promised by this world are worth the effort.

It takes a lot of guts to fight the natural impulse to live and plan a suicide. Suicide is not like you have a bad day and just decide to take some pills. It takes planning, thinking over, considering all options you could have in your life to make it better. Not weak or cowardly at all. You just don't know what you're talking about.

These people have a subconscious fear of death. If you don't fear it, but you do fear living another 30-50 years in psychological turmoil with no hope of relief suddenly it's not such a bad idea.

Personally I find it very difficult to say when suicide is rational or a good idea or the solution. We all have different views on this. I'm incredibly conflicted on my potential suicide.

I believe in giving life a fighting chance for sure, but there comes a point when there isn't anything more you can do or any way things will get better. I think suicide should definitely be an option for people who are struggling and feel that it's their only way out, regardless of what is causing them so much pain.

Sometimes life hands you lemons.
Sometimes you get run over by the lemon truck.
Anyone can be overwhelmed beyond their ability to cope. Then it comes down to how much you can endure.

I think everyone tried their best to get out of this but when you reach a certain point where your just done with it all people just don't understand and never will. I never thought i would be desperate to end it all at one point and during that time i tried in life but going forward to today nothing matters anymore.

suicide is an option definitely whether you are doing it to escape because the lemon truck hit you head on or for a more specific example if you feel you are hurting others (yeah that's me, yeah I liken myself to hitler sometimes) and you feel like you are going to be an awful terrible no good person who is toxic for everyone around you (kinda like hitler or whatever) then suicide is an option for that (imagine if hitler died before rising to power...I think even pro lifers would agree that a suicide there seems like an option even though he was talked out of it (by a jew if I remember correctly-but ask tailored he might know more deets). Even pro lifers make suicide an option for the people they hate...and so if you hate yourself then how can you not see suicide as an option for you?

A no-win situation is the possibility every Commander faces. That strikes a chord with me having served in the military. You've given everything you know how & it's still not enough. CTB is a highly personal thing. Don't expect anyone who has never felt like ending their own lives to coming even close to understanding. Thanks for following me this far. Good luck whatever your decision.

that's an excellent way to put it...you have the choice to surrender to brison and torture for the rest of your life or go scorched earth and kill yourself...of couse thats not my reason my reason is more like a war criminal who can either kill themselves or keep destroying others

It's definitely an option. Incurable ailments aside, I always hope people will make every effort to get out of the situations that brought them here. But I have no judgement at all on people who choose it regardless of if they did that or not. In the end I really just hope for peace at the end of the road for everyone, whether it all does end here or if there's something after.

I've talked about this before but the one thing I don't necessarily like about the forum is some of the hate for the "pro-lifers". I don't hate anyone but I can't even dislike people who simply just don't get it. Those are people who do not understand this whole thing. Some have good intentions and for some it probably is for some kind of self fulfillment.

But given that one of the reasons I like this place is because of the level of compassion, empathy, and being a judgement-free zone, I personally think we're better than throwing shade at people with a different worldly view.

They don't understand, and that's fine. It's like Shawn Shatto's parents, I don't blame them for wanting to find a place to turn their anger to, they'll likely never get it and they're grieving their daughter. I'm sorry it happened, like them I wish there was something we or I could've done for her too. At the very least, this place provided a way for her to go as peacefully as possible.

I don't know, I guess I've just never really seen it as an "us vs them" kind of thing. That's how shit gets ugly on this planet.

Thank you for making this thread, I needed to see it all worded once again to remind myself how stupid these people are. Most of the world is made of nothing but cowards who conform to what society wants them to be even if they are miserable and only when they are close to death they finally realize how stupid they were but it's too late. It's funny to me how they call us cowards when really it's them who are fucking terrified, they are so scared to a point that they can't even think rationally about suicide because they don't know if they can handle it, they terrified of us because they know we are braver and it scares them to think they might never be brave enough to face the truth, the truth about everything. So they call us cowards and call themselves "normal" and "brave" and keep living through another day in their delusion and denial until their last day comes but it's too late to change anything, which probably something they are at least partly happy about because only when it's too late to change things they can admit that they WABT to change them and be braver, because since they are out of time it's suddenly not their fault anymore that they can't change things, and they don't have to blame themselves as much and they don't have to be brave anymore.

The people who say these things have never experienced real pain. I've always felt that happiness was a delusion and that the intelligent person can see through that.

I don't think happiness is necessarily a delusion. Some of us are just unfortunate enough not to have it.

Thats when the psycology world just steps in and says we need to learn new coping skills. :) I feel conflicted about that. While of course thats true, the pit of depression usually sint the place to start that.... jeez.... the timing!
