Suicide in TV Shows / Movies

Is there any TV Shows / Movies where suicide has taken place? I can't think of having seen any such scenes with it been such a taboo topic within the general public.

13 Reasons Why comes to mind. Not very good and romanticizes the whole thing, but it was popular for a while. Made good fuel for wannabe saviors, but also highlights a very real aspect in the aftermath in how people handle a loss by suicide. Most people go on with their lives and do little outside of your 3 day long mourning to make themselves look nice then move on, those who are genuinely impacted feel left behind as the world forgets that person, and those who led to the suicide by being assholes will stay..well…assholes.

There's a Netflix Series out right now called Daily Dose of Sunshine. Features a nurse working in a psychward. It's a korean drama if you're interested.

some i can think of:

- The Book of Henry (2017)
- it's at the end of the movie and it doesn't really relate to the general topic of the movie though

- 'Night Mother (1986)
- never watched it but it's about suicide

- Wristcutters: A Love Story (2016)
- havn't watched it either, but it's about a guy who commits suicide, and ends up in this lonely place filled with other people who've commited suicide, then he finds love (i think)

I really liked this Australian TV mini series called The Beautiful Lie

The main character suicides on train tracks at the end, it's pretty sad, I cried.

I can only think of some gun suicides, Full Metal Jacket (1987), A Few Good Men (1992) and 44 Minutes: The North Hollywood Shoot-Out (2003). I have only seen 44 Minutes, which fictionalizes the real 1997 North Hollywood shootout.

Oh, one other I should mention is Serial Experiments Lain. That one has a pretty memorable scene.

My Suicide (thats the name of the movie) has a total of one (or two idr) suicide scenes in it. It's a pretty corny coming of age film but I though it was cute.
