• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Sorry I talk too much...

Anyone who has survived an attempt, how did your insurance company handle the medical stuff? I just read quite a few articles that state that they have been refusing to cover those types of things.

Thanks Meso for your contributions. I know it's only 10 January but way to strive to be dick of the year 2020

as far as to the OP's question, it depends on your provider (and ofc the country you live and and the governing laws). If you are American there are laws and policies that dictate that certain medical coverage is required even in suicide attempts but often it's an uphill battle. I wish I could provide more information but since insurance companies and even the policies within those companies can vary so drastically it's hard to give you a good answer.

I had a friend, in my country who tried to OD with sleeping pills, the only thing they did was a stomach lavage... They didn't put her on a psychiatric ward nor anything else, so at least here in Peru they don't provide any other kind of support, just keep you breathing
Edit okay I won't generalise but that is the experience she had

Everyone here wants to die Meso, that's why we try to be mutually supporting. I really do wish all the best and try and provide information that will be helpful to others, just try and think that when you see these threads and posts that everyone is going through their own personal hell just like you, so I do apologize for my angry response but sarcasm, vitriol, and unhelpful responses just add to everyones misery and I think you know as well as anyone else that we don't need any more on our plates that what we have
