Venting My tumblr got taken down! :)

Welp. Someone reported a post I made talking about finally setting up my noose and the staff or whatever decided to go ahead and terminate my account. By the way, I never got a formal email, just an email stating, "Well, we might terminate your account if we want to." so how unprofessional ^.^

"Someone is seriously concerned for your safety" were they? If they were concerned about me then they wouldnt have taken down one of my only outlets I have to vent about my shitty life (besides these forums).

I hope that person who reported me is happy for targeting a mentally ill individual who wasn't harming or harassing anyone :) taking down my account did nothing, btw. I still will be actively suicidal without an account, so kudos to them ig lol.

I dont identify as human, so referring to myself as a "person" is uncomfortable, but lets play along for a bit.

No, you did take action against me as a "person". As a person going through tough times. As a person in pain. As a person who's had enough. Your censoring my pain and suffering. You are attacking me as an individual, because the content that I post was not meant to glorify or romanticize anything, I was literally just documenting my life and my actions.

"We'd love to have you stay on Tumblr" and then they terminate me anyway lmao.

I know I was risking my account getting banned, especially with the images I would upload, but I never wanted any attention towards them either, and Id only tag very personal and triggering post with well, trigger warnings. Im only slightly pissed because I also used that blog to upload fanfics (which thank goodness I also uploaded them onto ao3) and also to yap about my interests. Now I have that gone, but at least I have a friend that doesnt mind my yapping, so it isnt terribly bad (I refuse to use Twitter. Hell site y'all).

Yeah building a bond with people. Preferably real life.
Online can work for a while but it will usually eventually become casual, also u dont wanna get attached to someone u cant hug.

Also—very real advice. Hugs are awesome and way more healing than therapy will ever be. I hope that if this current online friendship I'm in works out, then maybe we can hug someday irl too...but the distance definitely sucks, lol

i dont understand why freedom of speech and expression doesnt extend to suicidal ideation. sure, if i made a post about how i want to kill my whole family, yeah you can take that down, but im an individual that should be allowed to make my own choices and say whatever i want about my life.

Because if they didnt take down the very scary suicidal posts then it would be seen as "enabling" or "supporting suicide", ig.

they are policy bound. the problem is we arent even allowed to vent anymore. only at the dark side of the internet.

compeletly disagree. from my experience it just makes the pain worse because they always leave. they don't want to listen nor do they care. if you're suicidal you're an inconvenient liability and should be left to rot. they always leave.

internet in the initale stages were much more random and more freedom of speech. because a lot of stuff wasnt digital yet.
but now almost everything is digital which mean the internet got more important.
now you can threat ppl online and get arrested wel back then games forums were full of taunting eachother like that.

see this is the problem with social media. talking about something doesnt always equal enabling or supporting. sometimes its just the very thoughts that are in a persons head. its not always an agenda or propaganda or whatever they believe. its quite annoying to be censored like that

Note, I never used such buttons, tho thaaat's what that "I'm concerned about this post" does.

I guess it might also forward the post to moderators, who'll check the post and remove it if the platform sees it as unsuitable.

That's a good reason for me to keep using moderated chats (I even run a tor chat!) and even forums on deep web... they are more lenient on moderation, eg people have literally uploaded whole songs without getting Channel strikes.
