Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Yeah I had that one too from a suicide helpline counsellor. Some were good but this one was dreadful. Said me talking about my plans for suicide was scary and she didn't like it. Umm... this IS a suicide helpline right? I turned to professionals for help so I wouldn't "scare" family or friends. "You need to concentrate on living not dying" was another favourite phrase. Yeah I've actually lost everything worth living for and it's not temporary. Then she said I need to quit the poor-me attitude, I wasn't a child, and when I replied that I had clearly frustrated the hell out of her, she said yes you have. Wow, how helpful. Gee thanks for your input
You didn't deserve that. This is why I'm so hesitant to ever call a helpline. They'll either give shit advice like this, or they'll send the police to my house and I'll be taken to the ER. Screw that.
It's funny when they follow up 'it's a permanent solution to a temporary problem' with 'suicide won't solve your problems' - hmm didn't you just say it was a permanent solution???

I've texted the crisis help line many times and the top responses i've gotten are: go eat a brownie, go paint and go take a walk (it was 10pm and they knew i was suicidal)

I dont think it has to do with pro-life as a philosophical standpoint tho. All these "gems", all this "wisdom" its not for you. Its for themselves. Its an instinctive impulse to put a distance between the advice-giver and the suicidal. We have an image of ourselves we are heavily invested in. Mere thought, reminder of suicide is threatening it! Criticizing, giving stupid advice is instinctive way of saying: "im not like you! I ENJOY MY LIFE!"
