I had a friend with a 2 mb/s download speed and I was just like "holy shit is this the future?" every time I went over there a couple years ago. Now fiber is getting built out here and I can't wait to experience the insane speed of 1 gb/s up and down
Think was lucky was disabled young pain only going to get worse and knew never reach older age .So bucket list started young and got to do some things not others - limited money - and that is enough now. Mental illness helped me impulsively as just did stuff. Here was easy get on plane we are travel hub of the world. If lived in big country big mountains big water big skies like US or Canada think would want just be in wild marvel at that knowing could be just you for hundreds miles ! And the stars must be amazing. The best? Petra in Jordan . The worst? Where my mind wrote cheques my body couldn't cash which is sorta why here now.
I'd like to discover an optimization technique for game engines, or any other highly optimized low level software. Something significant I could leave behind as FOSS

That would be awesome!
Technology and videogames have reached such a level that it's really difficult to improve them.
For instance, the growth from 16 bits to 3d stuff was just AMAZING!!
Will there be another big jump like that or things will only improve very slowly?
Also, if there's too much advancement we won't be able to distinguish reality from virtual stuff and that's when the simulation theory will make more sense!
There isn't much I want to do really. I don't have the energy really. There is a list of stuff that could interest me if I thought about it, but it wouldn't be realistic actually being able to do them. I just want to fall into an eternal sleep.
