Bear with me. Now I know Lighthouse Point is a good 400ft drop but I still have this irrational fear I might somehow be the insanely unlucky one who survives it (at least for a bit). So I was thinking about drinking SN first and then five minutes later hurling myself off the highest chalk cliff in England...

Overkill? What do people think?

OK so bear with me I'm pretty high... The image I got from this was I'm standing over this giant scary with and I down this massive shot of salt water. Then I'm standing there and I start getting dizzy so I fall and hit my head on the side of a cliff, and then I fall anyway. As I'm falling I regain consciousness but then I start vomiting mid air and it gets all over me because of the wind. Now I'm still falling and nasty and cold but it's OK because I pass out again on the way down. now I hit the ground... oh shit I survived man I'm still vomiting and getting dizzy but now my organs are all crushed and in pain. And then I pass out and finally find peace.

I'm not high but I pictured the exact same scenario RoseyBird did.. so I think the consensus would be yes definitely overkill.

Sounds like a party for one!

I dunno I'm so basically in love with the idea of jumping off BH. For real. I've read so much, watched so much, SPENT SO MUCH TIME IN THE SOUTH DOWNS NATIONAL PARK. And what a way to end it: jump from the very eastern edge of the National Park into the ether. Goddamn...

Anyone got that audio recording of the ex girlfriend committed suicidal @ BH?

OnT: Sounds like a good idea to make sure you're really dying within minutes after the fall.
I wouldn't be surprised if the human body can survive, even for a couple of minutes, after a fall like that.
Take it in capsules if you don't want to taste it.

If you go off the right spot and don't hit a ledge then a 400+ft drop is going to end in only one outcome especially if you get head first

Not sure I don't think it would be long enough drop to pass out...only going to be 5 or 6 seconds brain wouldn't register in time

What if she faints on the way down and her body changes position midair?

What if the winds are too strong, forcing the body and swinging it upwards?

yes I was thinking that
What if she faints on the way down and her body changes position midair?

What if the winds are too strong doing the same?

imagine the wind blowing you back on to the edge after jumping

I agree with this logic.

Also, it's been shown that when bodies lose consciousness the muscles around the bones are no longer constricted and can sustain more of an impact.

I am no doctor so can't say about fainting, if you can add to it with medical evidence then please do. I know from previous jump I didn't faint, adrenaline took over...so can only answer for me...re:wind, again would have to do the calculations but 400 ft drop at 9.82m/s would give you a speed of around 85 mph...yes wind could affect you but gravity would also have a say in this

Ouch that wasn't great...I thought the only surviving jumpers went from a lower height...
