I don't know the answer to being suicidal and dating, honestly.

Imagine if two suicidal people marry, and they say their vows and come to "Till death do us part" - then they think "Hold on! That was our second date" - "Are we already dead?" :smiling:

The only common denominator between everyone that's successfully been treated for depression and mental illness is a long term, commited partner. Don't just date anyone, but yes, if it's what you want you should find someone that builds your confidence, romantic or not.

well everyone deserves love and deserves to feel cared for and valued ofc! in my opinion, yes absolutely. it all depends on the effort both partners are putting into the relationship - for the sake of being in a functional and healthy relationship, they should probably be on the road to recovery. also communicating is a must.
