Great news! Congratulations!

On my part, a friend called today with really good news about a potential career development he has been proposed. Despite feeling very down due to my situation, I was able to support him morally and to encourage him to go forward.

i hadn't eaten anything besides strawberries for 3 days (extreme stress completely killed my appetite) until just now. i got down some scrambled eggs with salami! simple meal but damn was it good after a while of functionally no food.

i finally cleaned up the little shitty piles of hair that collect in a couple corners of the living room that have been pissing me off for weeks.
also had decent turnout for a coaching session i scheduled months ago. today's meeting wasn't really a direct accomplishment but i mean since it's happening cause i busted my ass in winter during a really bad fucking time, it still feels good.

After several repeated classes, and even occasional death wishes, and similar, I finally got a Diploma of IT in 2024.

No idea how I'm going to get the Bachelor degree, tho little at a time / possible repetitions of courses is how it may go. (Hopefully less repetitions, less wasted time and less future repayment)

Congratulations! Keep going - it doesn't matter how long it takes you. We all have different lives and different constraints we have to deal with, both internal and external.

i was about to go to sleep in dirty sheets yet again, but then realised i could just put the spare set on instead of waiting for a time i have enough energy to remove, wash, and replace those already on the bed. it was still a buncha work but much less, and saved my brain the effort of trying to plan a 3-hour block of time to do all the other crap.

I just cleaned the trash off the bedroom floor and changed the garbage bag. I'd been throwing shit on the floor.

Next Tuesday I am invited to be the feature poet at Performance Poets Association. I was not going to go, but yesterday I decided to go and read my stuff.

I'm trying to draw and read again, and since the last month i am maybe finally doing it as an habit again.
From early 2022 to late 2024 i did practically nothing, I'm amazed of how motionless and useless i was, and how any will to do anything besides sleeping and going to the bathroom was non existent back then. Is still hard and everything weighs hard but anyways, i'm finally drawing and reading again.

today i got to work before anyone else on my team did. i was the first attorney in the office—i even beat some of the senior paralegals. i've been struggling a lot to get to work on time, and even though no one really cares when the attorneys come and go—so long as we get our work done—it means a lot to me that i can get out of bed and do something right

Before going to bed this morning (correct), i realised it'd probably be better if i dealt with the goddamn sink full of dishes than see it after waking up, get annoyed by it, and possibly not be able to take care of them then from stress and/or pain. it was still annoying but took <10mins., then i even scrubbed the sink (it gets disproportionately gross even without dishes in it cause it's a big cube with minimal decline toward the drain and no rounded edges, so water pools and the bottom gets funky) and put them away before sleep.
it was indeed nice not to have to look at it for "breakfast" and will be nice later at "lunch" i bet

Sometimes it is the simpliest things, huh??

Let's so far today I have literally done NOTHING. Because of my injuries (spinal) I have found I can only generally "get shit done" every other day. So, I have honestly been trying to bust my ass one day and then play "catch up" the next, rinse, repeat for the last week or so. Big deal, huh?? Well, yeah ... Because after literally MONTHS AND MONTHS of feeling like I never accomplish ANYTHING I am starting to see results.

I hope, with all my being, that this can become a long-term routine for me because my husband is the sort that believes with all his heart that the fact he lives, breathes and bitches is ALL he has to do in way of contribution around here. Don't get me wrong -- he goes to work. And those people get the best of him, not me. I suppose I could leave but we have been together so long, and there is some other stuff, but I feel obligated to honor my commitment. I am gonna out-live him (some more of that other stuff) and going thru a divorce at the stage of the game would only accomplish making a bunch of lawyers richer and both of us poorer.

If I can manage to find a way to lead a semblance of an independent life and still deal with him and his immature, narcissistic shit then we can both manage to accomplish what we need -- him a live-in maid, concubine, punching bag (figuratively speaking NOT physical), and personal assistant, and me?? I'll be set financially for the rest of my life. I may be suicidal, but I am not impractical. Seems like a decent trade -- especially since, while I do not love him any longer, I do still care for him and know what him finding himself single with half the assets he thinks he has now would do to him emotionally. I am personally intimate with how THAT feels and wouldn't wish it off on my worst enemy.

Comprehensible input (listen to as much of the language as you can, starting off with easy stuff eg youtube videos designed for beginners).

Really just immersion though, moving to a country where they speak the language and not everyone has good English. Not very practical but that's it.

Well, I downloaded a shitton of retro gamesets to play on my up and coming cheap as fuck android tv box™, also some APKs to make it a full media station, but I'll mostly play games on it. It cost around 25 bucks, and motivated me to do something that I'm kind of proud of over the last week and a half. Consoles, handhelds, arcade, computer stuff, it's got them all.

Also will get a new 8bitdo wired controller to compliment it. Man, I wish I could invite you guys, you all deserve something to feel good about.

Yesterday I got the right measurements for the cheese sauce on my spaghetti so there wasn't any leftover and the thickness was right. I suppose that's something, after 2 years of trial and error.

My professor said our project is looking promising, and said we might have our article published by the university.

We are trying to apply a system to automate logistics. Kind of a mobile app with server integration and APIs. It's still at the beginning, but we want to apply state of the art technologies.

I'm honestly very happy with how far I've come since 2023. From a NEET to employed, with good reserves and getting a great degree that Will open many Doors.

Now I have resolve , I want to study, to do things, I feel life has a meaning now.
