What's the likelihood of success if I covered myself in gasoline and set myself on fire and swallowed gas too. No need to tell me people would see. I'm apathetic at this point. Obv I don't care about pain either so no need to tell me it'll hurt

I'm always confused why people choose this method as you will die in horrific agony that you cannot even fathom right now, but yes, you will die. There's little room for error unless someone puts out the fire so if I were to choose this method (never in a million years) I would do it where there is no risk of anyone getting involved to put out the fire. I would do it in a field with no one around.

If clothes are soaked, you will get 3rd degree burns all over and die slowly over a few days. Peace to you. I'm sorry life has driven you to this point.

Saw a video of a guy who did this after his wife left him. Was the most traumatic thing I've ever seen. He ran around and screamed in extreme pain for several minutes before falling on the ground and twitching. It was removed from the gore site in 24 hours. That's how bad it was. I would try anything else. I mean he SCREAMED and Flailed like a maniac. I'm in the process of getting fent from DNM. Meet you on the other side.

Don't do this, you WILL regret your chosen method halfway through, you simply cannot fathom how excruciatingly painful that is, it won't be fast either, sure it might only take about 4 minutes or so, but it will feel like an eternity for you, you will experience hell in every single second, just do SN instead

If you are really set on ctb, drowning is a better option. If you combine the deodorant method + drowning, you won't feel pain, but it will be scary tho.
I'd advise you not to do this, not to forget the overwhelming pain, or torture you'd experience. Although it's done in some cases by some monks for example which is also supported by their philosophical positions. Such monks have mastered meditation, and concentration to such a level that they are able to stay calm, and not feel the same way someone would ordinarily if they got burnt. It's a process that takes years to master in many cases, and has a deeper meaning as to why they do it in certain cases which is misunderstood by others not aware of deeper ideas in their religion or culture. Anyways I'd say it's not a good idea to put yourself in such pain, worse the side effects if you survive such a process.

I know it's your choice, this whole forum is to encourage people to make their own choices, and I don't know what sort of pain you're in right now. But I'm begging you, don't try this, unless you knock yourself out with elephant tranquilizer first, please, don't do it.
Most ctb methods allow time for regret to set in, but the agony doesn't last long until you're dead, but most of us have gone swimming and experienced that drowning sensation, or have maybe experimented with asphyxiation (not in the freaky way...maybe in the freaky way?), etc etc, but being burned is the one thing most humans truly have no complete concept of because we all have that knee-jerk reaction once we've been burnt and even then the degree of pain is not as severe as it would be if you stood there and let it the fire cook you to the bone.
Your brain will be wired to spend it's last moments screaming in agony and searching for water. And god forbid you're found and saved, you may survive or you might pass away in a hospital some days later, but either way you'll be in total agony the entire rest of your life. I can almost guarantee that once you've set yourself on fire, you would immediately rather live another 50 years with the pain you have now.

I can only agree with the other comments. I am pro choice but can only urge you not to try this. The others have pointed out why. I have experienced 2nd degree burning and i have never experienced such pain in my life. When I arrived at the hospital they immediately injected morphine and put me into a coma. I had surgery to remove the necrotic tissue and was lucky I did not need skin transplants.
It would take minutes until you die and the pain and agony will be unfathomable. If you survive this it will be excruciatingly painful and if you don't pass away in the hospital life will be very worse. I don't mean any disrespect and it's your choice.

I jumped expecting to die on impact (did not happen) did not hurt even fracturing both femurs the most painful fracture adrenaline is legit, but burning alive very high lethality but that agonizing death i can't imagine if i can't leave this world peacefully at least feel annoyance or little pain not extreme pain like this method

You will die, provided no one puts you out or you jump in a pool, anyways don't do this… if you gonna die take an easier, less brutal route. But it's upto you, be safe

I think that it is one of the worst ways to go... but yes it would work. Make sure to do it somewhere where nothing else will catch on fire, and away from any onlookers (it would be deeply traumatic to watch, and bystanders could put out the fire). If it were me I would pick large empty parking lot in the middle of the night, on a road with little traffic.
Please don't - Just think about this, This method while seemingly easy to acquire is painful, Even Hanging by Full suspension while still hurtful will constrict the Arteries+Veins leading to unconsciousness within 30 seconds or less depending on individual physiology/Body weight Followed by hemorrhaging and seizure... Brain Death in 10 Minutes to 30 Minutes an Hour to be safe - This is the hanging which most people obstain from when picking a Suicide method is much more peaceful and can be readily accessible then what you're proposing for yourself- I don't know your situation but just take a breather, there are resources - Carbon Monoxide by Charcoal Briquettes in a closed space is also easy and painless as-well

this is a REALLY faulty and i understand you don't care about the pain trust me I do. You are valid but setting yourself on fire is a UNIMAGINABLY excruciating pain I mean maybe you get lucky and it burns your nerves so bad you stop feeling it. i can't even begin to explain the physical agony it would be. on top of just setting yourself on fire draws attention in and out of your home unless you're in a isolated place like where no one can find you in the woods you could possibly be found and rescued from there you might need to be amputated etc. that's a insane way to go out but it's obviously your choice. i will say there is so many other options. it definitely doesn't have to be this brutal and obviously they all have this same outcome: death.
I just want to add that you may not die right after setting yourself on fire. You may survive and you'll have to wait possibly (hours or days (in case you get found)) for your organs to fully shut down. It's an unimaginable pain. Please think of a different method.

this is my method. Among butane, nitrogen, refrigerants, deodorants are widely available. But they are very irritating. If I can't find anything else, probably I will use deodorants.
I mean, I know this site is supposed to not judge, but come on.
That's got to be the worst way to kill your self.
Severe burns to your body.
And what if you don't die? Months in a hospital getting skin grafts?
And you think your in "horrific agony" now.
Just wait til you're in this agony, plus your skin melting off/ laying in a hospital for months getting skin grafts to go.
Moral of the story, don't do it
