I'm confused. I'm in the U.S. I looked up NS on Amazon and see that I can purchase it there. It seems too easy compared to what I read here. Can anyone please advise me further? Thanks!

You said NS. Do you mean SN (Sodium Nitrite)?
Sodium Nitrite is used as a meat preservative, and in the past, was very easy to get.
With so many people using it to ctb lately, it is getting hard to get.
It is not considered an illegal substance, but many vendors didn't want any part in contributing to ctb rate, they stopped carrying it.
As far as I know, it is not banned in the US, but I do believe there are some countries that have recently banned it.
Be sure you are purchasing Sodium Nitrite, and not Sodium Nitrate, which will not do the job.
If you are referring to N (Nembutal), that is a banned substance, and very hard to get.

Most of the items on the jungle site are pickling salts containing less than 1% of SN. Which would not work for CTB. You require 95% purity or higher.

Since it is not illegal in the US, you can easily buy it, but you do need to be sure you buy the higher purity version - 95% or better.
I think it is harder to get in other countries, which is part of the issues you read here.
In Austria it seems to be impossible to buy SN or N. All sources are SCAM sites.

N is impossible to find anywhere (other than the one known source noted in the PPeH).
SN is tricky but not impossible.
In most countries it's legal to possess but many sellers have self-imposed restrictions to only sell to businesses and research facilities.

Anytime you get a source I'd run it through Exit International's scam database, and through the search bar on this forum.
I think it's also fair to assume that any info from a pirated copy of the ppeh, sourced anywhere other than here, contains scam data.
I've found the ppeh in a few places. Torrent sites, web sites and even links posted independently around the net on forums and social media platforms.
At this point all contact info in the ppeh is null and void anyway. None of those sources are viable anymore so there's no point in chasing them or cross referencing. The newer publication from exit named "essentials" is where the info will be. They're no longer updating ppeh as we knew it.
I'll add that they (Exit) have, in the past posted sources without verifying them. For example recently they posted a source from a dark net market only to later debunk it in an update a month or so later. In this time there were attempted purchases by someone here that was luckily savvy enough to back out last minute after deducing that it wasn't legit. It is entirely possible that others did make purchases and lose their money. So whilst the ppeh has been very useful for those that successfully made purchases from D it is far from infallible and doesn't always update with the times. It's a business. Always remember that.

I remember a few years ago finding modified contact info in PDF copy that was linked from Quora. I would also be wary of cross-checking with PPeH here. When I was neebie I remember in chat someone befuddled writing that contact info was tampered with. I wasn't in my best shape but only supposed that server was hacked and hacker modified file. N was not my method so I didn't bother. I was not frequently active and I don't remember that incident occuring gain. It's best to cross-check wherever you can to mitigate risks.
Yeah, I mean any contact info in any ppeh (legitimate or pirated) up until the very recent (august) update of "essentials" (the new replacement for ppeh) is entirely dead. The addresses no longer work and any that do will be scams.
There's definitely been many scamming members here that shared false info via pm, you're right.
Cross referencing is of course needed but it has to be done with some diligence and caution.

I am new to this site and very grateful that I found it.
I am familiarizing myself by reading many of the posts in a variety of topics.
I am coming across a number of abbreviations and most of them, I can figure out.
Is it allowed for me to ask for a list of the most common abbreviations so that I may better follow the conversations?
As an example, I do not know what A and B mean.
If this is something I can find through reading more EXIT articles, I can also do that.

A and B were suppliers of nembutal. They were listed as "source A" & "source B" in the ppeh (peaceful pill electronic handbook) but they are no longer in business. You will also come across a C and D which are two more ex vendors of nembutal. D actually only went dark very recently and many are hoping for him to be added back to the book as a source. The book has now migrated however. It is now ppeh E (E =essentials). You can read more about that in the later pages of the N from D megathread or most N from D threads made in the past few weeks.

It's just condensed but obviously over time it will change as its the only version being updated.
It's updated live. It's essentially a website pdf you sign into so updates happen as and when they decide to so them. As far as what content is added, I have no idea. Whatever they think is relevant.
I've seen two different email addresses for the supplier "D" in the PPeH, one with "nembutal" spelled out and one with just "nbtl" - which one is the legit address?
Neither. They're out of date and no longer in use. The N from D mega thread may explain things in more detail.
If anyone contacts you saying they have N or have a contact for D they are going to scam you. The only way you'll find the genuine contact info (if it exist anymore) is via the new publication ppeh Essentials which you obtain via exit international.

I am very "happy" to be here (say, grateful that I was approved and relieved that such a space exists, where we can all share).
I would like to thank the mods, the active participants and anyone who contributed and shared.
I also noticed that people do not fight, call one another names or act aggressively. I even saw a message mentioning explicitely that most of us are where we are now due to the way society treats us, due to violence and the way we were put down. Therefore we should treat one another with kindness.
Well, I completely subscribe to that.
Now, to get to the core of the matter, I've read the 10 pages this Megathread has (that is, very single message if I haven't missed any).
In fact, I have been scammed via top-up card, while attempting to buy N on Telegram.
The last message on this thread dating back from January (so 6 months ago, almost to the day), can anyone tell me if they know of a (new) trusted source, please?
