Recently after an attempt in March, my ex (who I have posted a bit about, TLDR: only man I would have ever wanted to have a normal nuclear family future with cheated on me and left) showed me videos about this website. He showed me Tantacrul, news articles, Turkey Tom, and the likes after he somehow found out I was on here.. I think he somehow snooped through my phone. From now on I will be incognitoing this site, but what I saw made me heavily confused.

Why do they talk about "anti-suicide" and "youngins stay off of here" and then completely get this website wrong??? And they also very lightly cover the name of this website? Whilst also word for word citing articles on this website which could make it very easy to find? I feel as though a video about that would get MORE traffic on this website.

And what I mean by getting the website wrong is they say "YOU CANT OFFER HELP OR BE SUPPORTIVE OF ANYONE OR ELSE THE PEOPLE HERE WILL DOG ON YOU AND YOU'LL BE A LOSER" or something like that... if anything, this has been one of the most supportive places I have ever been in. In most of my posts (at least earlier posts) the comments mainly centered around how others have experienced what I did and that things get better. They dont even see that people are pro-choice here. They only see the suicide aspects of it and think "omg these people are unstable and terrible" which almost shows the whole point as to why this website exists. I personally couldnt talk to anyone about my experience with suicide/wanting to leave and why in real life without fear of hospitalization or judgement, which both have happened. Even when I wasnt trying to attempt and just had some ideation.

I just dont understand why these people want to fear monger and show the website off as something terrible.. is it a little unfiltered? Absolutely. But its the only place I can truly feel like I can speak my mind with no judgement, and if there is judgement its probably a bit reasonable haha..

This may just be me ranting, but I am genuinely just confused on peoples "documentaries" on this website.

turkey tom's video on sasu is so infuriating to me for manyy reasons, but mainly the fact it's so counterintuitive to his "goal" (not bringing more people to this site i assume) he even mentions sodium nitrite which isn't a super commonly known method outside of these spaces. doesn't seem like he cares abt his goal but instead is using it as an excuse to ridicule us users

Yeah!!! I completely agree! And being called a death cult was honestly wild. Seeing the comments + donations he got for the video was also crazy. Hes basically getting paid to shame us while getting the website just.. wrong!

And its honestly moreso a guide on how to use the website (especially with him explaining acronyms) rather than an advocacy video.. its very confusing..

that's because he doesn't actually care, its all about views and money for him and "scawwy internet forums" is a topic that clicks, and "scawwy internet forum about suicide" is a jackpot

that is what this site is all about - most of the people on it are sweet, but the site itself doesn't care at all about those who are vulnerable

oooo I hate turkey tom. His videos are shit, he finds the smallest thing and just shits all over it ALONG WITH GARBAGE TAKES. All he cares about is views and money, and what will bring more clicks than a video about a suicide forum. He reminds me of leafy. He takes advantage of vulnerable and small groups of people on the Internet all for money. Not to mention him being low-key abusive towards a past partner
