You could extract it yourself. Depending on where you live, getting the seeds and the solvents shouldn't be hard. But I think it just might get messy and be uncomfortable.

I was thinking about it and looking into it before posting, however, the house I'm currently staying at has my older sister, her husband, and her son (my nephew). Because I can only go off of what I find and I don't technically know what I'm doing aside from what I read, it wouldn't be safe. I don't want to put anyone's safety at risk aside from my own. An additional barrier I've taken note of when self-extracting ricin is purity. You can't necessarily guarentee purity when extracting it yourself.

As long as you cook in a well ventilated space it will not represent any risk to others. There are "cold" methods which does not need any cooking (no fumes) and the purity is more than acceptable.

But I don't know how painful can be. A single grain can kill an adult (time may vary), but maybe a bigger dose can be faster? I need to research a bit more.

Trying to buy ricin or similar on the dark web is a great way to land yourself on some kind of list, or worse up in court:

It's designated a "select agent" in the US and heavily watched/restricted because of it's potential use in terrorism. Producing it is also a crime pretty much anywhere and it's a horrible way to die.

You can buy ricin seeds without issue but if you're into this method you should also purchase antihemetics so you don't throw up.
It seems to be very painful but way easier than buying SN.
