Isn't amitriptyline one of the few medications where an OD can kill you due to how it affects the heart? It's a cardiac drug listed in the PPeH under the drug cocktail.

Overdoses fail when they're not carried thoughtfully. For example, SN is technically an overdose, yet if carried according to a specific protocol it does work.
Hopefully, you'll not rush things and instead get as much information as possible about your method.
