I've been scouring multiple scholarly journals/symptomology pages, but obviously none address the core of what I'm concerned about. I have enough prescription zolpidem (about 900 mg) that I've been saving, and I would like to pass peacefully. Is overdose by zolpidem relatively peaceful and painless? I am aware consumption with ethanol increases the likelihood of mortality.

Hey! I ended up reading some of the literature myself, and I have to say it would not be peaceful and painless. First of all, death is not a guarantee, and it is a hazardous psychotropic. Long story short, if you've ever read about deliriants like Datura or DPH, that's what your final moments would be like :( and if you don't die (which mind you is very possible even if you try mixing it with depressants), it is very possible you might be stuck with psychosis, HPPD, or the like:

"Zolpidem has been reported to cause psychosis, delusions and delirium at a significantly higher rate than other hallucinogens like LSD, ketamine, or DMT. There are a large number of experience reports online which describe states of delirium, amnesia, bizarre behavior,[12] sleep walking,[13] driving while impaired[13][14] and other serious consequences after abusing the drug. In many cases this has resulted in hospitalization, arrests,[15] car crashes,[16] lengthy court cases and even death.[17]" https://psychonautwiki.org/wiki/Zolpidem

But yeah uh, don't overload your GABA receptors as a way to CTB, it could have very serious consequences. I hope this helped.

And btw, I like your profile picture. I see you're a person of culture as well :). I guess you can say don't try to CTB this way if you don't want to potentially end up a Fuminori 😔

OD of ambien is not likely to get you CTB. It is very likely to get you in a coma and psychosis and other unpeaceful symptoms.

https://www.ridgefieldrecovery.com/drugs/ambien/ambien-overdose/
"Deaths caused by Ambien alone are rare. A lethal dose of Ambien is above 4,000 mg, which is approximately 400–800 times the average prescription dose. Deaths are most commonly reported with co-use of illicit drugs, prescription pain relievers, other z-drugs, benzodiazepines or alcohol."

As the thread states, zolpidem's LD50 (lethal dose for half a given population) is 695-1030mg/kg, meaning the 900mg you have wouldn't even kill most babies. You should definitely consider another method. Best of luck.

Thank you, it definitely did help, and so did your last comment lmfao. Played through saya no uta again last month and it is still legitimately all I think about. Thanks for taking the time to give a thorough write-up, you're very kind.

ODs are in the "not recommended" category. Please read the "non methods that should not be attempted" thread. 86% failure rate & high chance of physical or mental disability & further suffering 🌹💔
