So I've decided to go out by the train route, but I assume there's some technicalities I need to consider so I have some questions.

1. Is there an optimal speed I should be searched for (like the area where I end up laying down), and if so, how would I know where to find a track that achieves such speed?

2. Is there anything I can do for the train driver aside from doing this at night?

3. Should I take some sort of drugs before so I don't jolt when I start to hear the train and feel the vibrations on the track?

Obviously these are just guesses on what I should be even considering, so if you have any useful information or tips, let me know. If there is some sort of map that shows the high speed rail that I can rely on to CTB, lmk as well. Thank you guys :)

im doing same thing!
I love trains and my advice would be to watch them. Then you can get an idea in your area what they do. Also keep a note of when and where they are at different speeds.
I have decided to do it with a freight train so then its less people are involved and they are heavier. Not that it would matter.
I'm doing it at night in an area that's surrounded by trees. I'm also going to have a note apologising.
I'm planning on taking something to keep me out so I can't move. I was thinking heroin but if I chat get it I will use something like Xanax.
That's just what I'm doing I don't know if any of it will make a difference

Good thread, followed. I also asked these questions on the same topic a few months ago, but haven't received any information

Is the way to jump or to hide oneself on the track? Surely nobody couldn't survive a freight train coming at speed?

Are there areas in the UK where freight trains go by at night more regularly or is pretty much any major line?
