Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

has anyone thought about this or is planning on doing so? i'm really not sure tbh. the good thing would be that i'd have less people wondering what happened to me if i quit my job beforehand. but at the same time what does it really matter

that's true, i didn't really think about that. i appreciate your response. i guess for me quitting my job is similar to getting rid of everything before i ctb in a way. but like you said, the job doesn't matter if i ctb

Think about it. Do you just want to make your situation worse to be pushed to CTB easier? I also would reconsider the idea of getting rid of everything, just in the event of failure.

I wouldn't advice quiting. Don't underestimate SI. There is also a good chance you ending up postponing your d. date or your attempt failing due to several factors. Don't put yourself in even more pressure and stress. Put yourself first and only do things that are in your best interest. People will move on either way.

Please reconsider quiting.
You don't want more stress. Take me for example, I just took a week vacation, and I've already had two failed attempts and I have a few days before I have to return.
Now, if I had quit, that would be more stress to deal with.
Just book a holiday/vacation from work and maybe set a timed email to be sent in a few days ("I can't come into work cuz I'm probably dead"). If you survive, you can just go back to work and cancel the email.
I do agree with what others say on here, if your CTB attempt fails or you change your mind, then it is possible that you may end up with less financial security and stability once your job is gone. Additionally, it is possible that some people may even take a hint or become curious that you may be planning on something or feign concern if you suddenly give notice or quit your job depending on the context (e.g. if things are well at work and things seem normal, then all of a sudden, out of nowhere you just uprooted and decided to quit). It can set off a 'red flag' depending on the person and context too. While I can understand that wanting to quit and leave rather than having a sudden death shock, surprise your coworkers and workmates, there is risk involved in doing so too. Furthermore, if you do CTB, then the job would become irrelevant and you would become non-sentient and unable to experience regret or the aftermath.
I quit my job before I attempted. That didn't go well for me. Attempt failed. Went on a downward spiral where homelessness loomed and alcoholism reared its head and I relapsed my marijuana addiction. It was nice to not have to work a crappy job for a while though I will admit that. Eventually, I started getting super bored though. Then the time bomb of homelessness got closer and I tried another attempt. This one got stopped by the police.
Luckily for me I got a new job, assuming I pass the drug test that is. If I don't then I'm probably ultra screwed.
thanks for everyone who responded. i'll definitely reconsider quitting, as everyone said , if i fail i'll have no job after. most likely then i'll request some days off so if i fail i'll have time to recuperate lol.
