There are lots of supplements recommended for taking MDMA. I do it about every 4-6 months. It isn't always helpful but sometimes it can be. It feels like a place of warmth and safety and can be good for stepping off of into a better mindset. I'm going to take some Sunday.
Here is the recommended supplement schedule:
4h before MDMA ingestion: 2g Ginger
3h before: 500mg ALCAR (Acetyl-L-carnitine), 500mg Vitamin C
2h before: Nothing
1h before: 2g Ginger, and Optional - 1 tablet (100mg) Magnesium
With MDMA: 300mg ALA (Alpha-Lipoic Acid), 500mg Vitamin C
1h after MDMA ingestion: 300mg ALA, 500mg ALCAR
2h after: 300mg ALA, Optional - 1 tablet (100mg) Magnesium
3h after: 300mg ALA, 500mg Vitamin C
4h after: 300mg ALA
5h after: 300mg ALA, 500mg ALCAR
6h after: 300mg ALA, 500mg Vitamin C
7h after: 300mg ALA
If you follow this and limit your dose to a single dose of tested and weighed MDMA crystals you shouldn't have any comedown. I always take some acid about 2.5 hours into the experience about 60-75 ug no more.
This makes a lot of the best effects of MDMA continue for many hours. This is between 1/2 to 3/4th of a tab. It's meant to keep the good feelings going not to fully trip
A lot of the people having bad comedowns are dosing higher than recommended, getting hot (stay cool), doing it at parties where they can't control the environment and any number of other variables. You don't need to have a bad comedown at all.
When I have a good trip following the steps I'll feel much better even days after.
MDMA is a relatively safe drug when used respectfully.
I don't personally recommend mushrooms at all because of the uncomfortable body load.
