First of all, sorry to hear about this, very frustrating, this is exactly what i did not want to happen to me.
That said, i thought i'd use this as an opportunity share my experience, but first a bit of context. So, i've been visiting SaSu for almost two weeks now, but have only just yesterday been accepted as a member due to being from the UK (long story). In that time, i figured out what DSL was, found the website, and placed an order, all before i actually became a member on here. I will create a thread about my experience when i'm allowed, but as i'm new i thought i'd share it here for now.
That said, i ordered from DSL last Saturday, but things did not go well at all (to say the absolute least). In fact, he asked me so many unnecessary questions on WhatsApp, and things got so uncomfortable, that i ended up telling him to cancel my order and keep my money (in the nicest possible way of course).
At first, everything went smoothly, i ordered and paid, sent all my details, and he said he'd ship it on Monday, great i thought, that was easy, weeeeell actually, no! I came back to this site after ordering, read through more threads and posts, and became increasingly aware, and concerned, about the welfare checks that seem to be happening to almost everyone in the UK. This got me quite worried, mainly because i live with my parents (which you'll find out why below), so i just sent him a quick message on WhatsApp and asked if there was anything i should be concerned about regarding delivery to UK, and that i live with my parents and would rather not have any issues at my parents house. He then asked how old i was, so i told him 43, and then explained to him why i live with my parents at that age (which i tell everyone who asks btw as it embarrassing, but justifiable imo), hoping that he would get the message of why i really wanted SN and not ask me any more questions, how wrong i was.
He asked me, on Whatsapp, what i really wanted the SN for, so i told him for food preservation, because after all, that's what he lists it as. Because i said that, he said he'd just send me Nitrite Salt instead. Now, obviously, i had to say i wanted it for food preservation because i wasn't going to say on Whatsapp that i wanted it to CTB. So now I was like WTF is happening here, how am i going to get the message across without actually saying what i really wanted it for. So, I ended up sending many messages, trying to get the message across to him why i really wanted the pure SN and not the Nitrite salt, even telling him the reason that i live with my parents at 43 was because of many accidents, injuries, 15 surgeries, chronic pain, CPTSD, etc, etc, from the military, sports/exercise, and an adrenaline junkie lifestyle, which has unfortunately left me physically and mentally not in a good place (to say the least), hoping that he'd get the message of why i really wanted it, but no, he kept sending me more bizarre messages, even saying that he'll send me meat recipes with the salt, seriously lol. Again, i was like WTF is happening here! I said to him, many times, please just send me what i've ordered and paid for, but he would not confirm this instead he kept on insisting he would send me his salt. He should have, without doubt, especially considering he's well aware of what most people are actually buying it from him for (or so i thought), have been able to figure out exactly what i wanted it for, from the many messages i sent him. However, it seemed like he actually wanted me to spell it out (which of course i wasn't going to do on WhatsApp), and when i refused to do so, it felt like he started playing games with me for some reason, as unbelievable as that sounds. To keep asking the questions that he did, and sending the replies that he did, even after it i made it absolutely clear to him why i really wanted it (without actually spelling it out), i do not understand. I even said many times, just to be nice, that i appreciate his concerns and that i know exactly what i've ordered and how to handle it safely etc, and to send me the SN please. Not that i should have had to go to these lengths at all, but he was leaving me no option because he kept saying he was going to send me Nitrite salt instead, which obviously i did not want. I felt like i had been backed up into a corner. I don't know why he did this to me, it felt so surreal that i started to think that he must be doing this on purpose for some reason to get out of sending me the SN, because i can't think of any other explanation.
Things spiralled so far out of control, that when i looked back at all the messages - whilst still engaging with him - i thought that if his WhatsApp has been compromised, i am 100% going to get a welfare check. Because of that, I told him, in the nicest possible way, to keep my money, cancel my order, and delete all my personal info. To which he replied, that he would do as i wish, and that if i didn't want the Nitrite salt (which is 0.6% SN btw) that he'd donate SOME of my money (but probably just keep most of it) to the Ukrainian army for the war effort. Unbelievable!! I could not believe, that after all that had been said, he was still going on about his Nitrite salt, despite me making it absolutely clear, at least 5 times, that i did not want the salt and that it was only the pure SN that i wanted. Honestly, i thought that either this guy is an effing idiot, he's doing this on purpose for some reason, he's on crack or meth or something similar, or it's not him i'm speaking to, i could come to no other conclusion. I say this because if it was him i was speaking to, and he's aware of and is ok with people buying SN from him to CTB, and he is of sound mind, then why tf did things end up the way they did. But still, me being the nice guy that i am, i told him to donate my money to the army, with the message "Slava UKraini".
Obviously i was very frustrated by all of this, and honestly, if i could copy and paste the whole WhatsApp chat on here (which i couldn't even if i was allowed to, as i've deleted it now) then i know everyone on here would be like, WTF too?
Looking back now, i realise that i should have probably not have asked any further questions after i placed my order, and things probably wouldn't have turned out like they did. However, despite losing my money, i'm kind of glad i cancelled my order, as i'm pretty sure that i would have received a welfare check, which, as i've already said, i absolutely did not want. Personally, if i didn't live with my parents then i wouldn't be too concerned about a welfare check, i'd just make up a story and stash the SN somewhere and tell the police that it was just spare of the moment thing and that i had disposed of it and i was ok, or something like that.
I'm sharing my experience to make my new community aware of what happened to me, so they can hopefully avoid it happening to them. I have nothing to gain by sharing this, in fact i am at a loss, i just thought it was my duty to do so. I feel like i was scammed, and i hate that. Whilst writing this something else occurred to me, so he obviously is legit right? (many on here have attested to that), but he could be playing some people on purpose (if he senses someone is worried) to reduce the amount of shipments he's making (whilst still getting peoples money), and by trying to send people Nitrite Salt to "balance things out" and make himself look (or try to look) less suspicious to authorities, idk, just another thought to explain the unusual and surprising behaviour, but thinking about it now, seems the most plausible explanation of his actions. I'm sure most people, if what happened to me happened to them, would back out of the transaction too, even after already paying (i'm talking about those concerned about welfare checks), so for him it's a win win, he gets to keep the money and the product. Literally money for nothing. Whilst this would obviously be very unethical behaviour, he's obviously not exactly in a very ethical business to begin with (from a normies perspective), LOL, so i wouldn't put it past him. It's not as if we can complain to anyone or ask for a refund or anything, but what we can do however, is to call this behaviour out to the community, because if he's doing similar to other customers and mine is not an isolated case, then the word will get out and people may think twice about dealing with this guy, or at least being prepared to lose their money, or get salt, LOL.
Anyway, everything happens for a reason, i'm past all that now, i'm moving on to CO, because i like charcoal and BBQ's so it seems like a good fit for me, LOL! But then again i like trains, i just don't want to traumatise a driver or those picking up the pieces.
Finally, if this was all just a big misunderstanding, and i completely misread the entire situation, then i apologise to DSL for everything that i have implied and for coming to the conclusions that I have, and I will take it all back if it was all my fault, LOL. But somehow, i feel that i may not be the only one to experience something like this. I will make my own thread thread in due course to make more of our community aware of my experience.
