Oh haha. I'm sorry. I was just making sure.. I guess I sound dumb for saying that.

No, it was sweet of you to try to help. I didn't think you sounded dumb at all, just kind.

Your hair is defying gravity
Defying gravity you say?

"...I'm through accepting limits
'Cause someone says they're so
Some things I cannot change
But till I try, I'll never know
Too long I've been afraid of
Losing love I guess I've lost
Well, if that's love
It comes at much too high a cost
I'd sooner buy
Defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye
I'm defying gravity
And you can't pull me down..."

Sorry, I was speaking Southern American. Allow me to translate:

I am overheated in response to your handsomeness. It makes me grab the genteel, ladylike pearls around my neck and fan my face. Wow. Just stop, I can't handle it.
O

I would have also accepted, "My spider-sense is tingling!"
Um...

I don't...

I'm so confused.

Spidey-sense means a bad tingling, right?
Hrrm. I so did not think that joke out lol

Well … Something was tingling !!! :devil::ahhha::hihi:

Glad to see you are still here. It's always good if someone can turn things around. Feel free to stay on the forum and chat.
It would be nice if the Pro-Lifers would actually read this to see that not everyone decides to CTB and this isn't a "Cult".
I still firmly believe that people have the right to end their life if they choose but if they don't then that is ok as well.

You'll be please to hear we have no actual children together.

The collective community agrees that I need to stop being weak and be 100% done with my wife, yes?
How does the end speech from Breakfast at Tiffany's sound?

"You know what's wrong with you, Miss Whoever-you-are? You're chicken, you've got no guts. You're afraid to stick out your chin and say, "Okay, life's a fact, people do fall in love, people do belong to each other, because that's the only chance anybody's got for real happiness." You call yourself a free spirit, a "wild thing," and you're terrified somebody's gonna stick you in a cage. Well baby, you're already in that cage. You built it yourself. And it's not bounded in the west by Tulip, Texas, or in the east by It's wherever you go. Because no matter where you run, you just end up running into yourself."

@williambarker I just read this post in it's entirety, and I'm happy that you decided to give life another try. Like others have said, I also think you are a brilliant writer and have a lot to offer this messy world. I look forward to reading the story about the alcoholic woman that you are in the midst of writing. I just read what you wrote to Lenore and damn I'm so so proud of you! I'm proud of you for walking away and owning your self worth and that shows you have self respect. Im glad you realize you do deserve better. Also, the fact that you quoted the movie gets mad props from me.

Thank you. I'm so emotionally drained right now, and i'm going to need every ounce of kindness to pull myself together, so thank you.

And i just had to quote BAT. It's one of my most favorite movies and the opportunity was just too good to pass up.

I was the best thing that ever happened to Lenore and her son, and she didn't appreciate it in the least.

So if she'd rather have a man who slaps her around and uses her like a cheap whore, like all the other men in her life, save for me, then that's the life she chooses.

Because I was heaven, but she preferred hell

You're so welcome. *Huge hugs* I'm sure you are emotionally drained. Sounds like you've had an incredibly intense week, then the issues with your wife come into play which intensifies everything. Im sorry that things played out like they did with her, where she showed you no appreciation. I hope when you find someone else that they show you they appreciate you.

I just watched the video. That's awesome that you feel that way. It's liberating isn't it? That's exactly how I felt when I broke up with my ex. He was a controlling psychopath and holy fuck it felt so good to be like Peace out dickwad.

People find comfort in bad things unfortunately if someone is used to being treated like shit then they'll feel uncomfortable when someone finally treats them right. You are obviously a good and loving person, someone will appreciate that and reciprocate that. Don't let her taint your love, how you give it and receive it. Please don't let her choices warp the perception of yourself, she is not a reflection of you (if she was, she would be more appreciative)!
I think I was bonded to my ex boyfriend through trauma, even though he was awful to me I still wanted him so badly and he could do anything and I'd still forgive him for absolutely anything. It's hard to let go, but it's the right thing.
I hope you find the closure you need and time heals.

I am sorry that you are struggling a lot right now. I can totally emphathize with you. Im struggling a ton as well and really need a hug too. I was just telling a friend that today on the phone that this is such a shit time where there is social distancing. A time when I'm grieving so much and going through hell. Hugs are wonderful and can be healing. I'd totally give you a hug right now if you were near. I hope that didn't sound weird. If you want someone to talk to feel free to send me a PM. *Huge hugs*

Well, I was thinking about drinking the SN earlier, but now I'm feeling pretty okay.

I got to see my kiddo for a bit, and my wife was actually affectionate towards me.

I had written a page of my story and revised it a few days ago. So that's a start.

I was thinking of a book that you might escape with, both entertaining with an inspirational background, whose sense of humour is glorious and offbeat :
A Confederacy of Dunces, by John Kennedy Toole

It depicts the adventure of an anti-hero who is fighting his way through the decadent society he lives in, to the best he can, in very personal reactionary ways. It evolves into a grotesque atmosphere with elements of realism one can identify to, especially if already feeling like a misfit, with some consciousness of the pitfalls of our societies.

Years before, this book was a trigger that literally got me out of depression ! Masterpiece.

The author suicided at 31yo w/ CO in car, persuaded he had his career futur as a writer wasted, doubting his skills immensely. A long time after his death, fame knocked at his graveyard door, he was retrospectively awarded the Pullitzer price for Fiction...
The moral of the tragedy is that you may run away unaware of your talent if you don't pursue your trajectory. Food for thought. Or keep it a secret we told you so.
