• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Clancy Martin has attempted less than 20 times. This interview may not help anyone on SS. I just think it's helpful to know what's out there in the media. It's mainly a philosophical response to suicide.

What doesn't work for me is that people think if you just wait a day or a week, the suicidal desires will pass. That may be true for those who are depressed and need a change in their meds or need to survive a rough patch until one's emotions balance out again. But that's not true for me. My life circumstances have only worsened in the past 30 years. It doesn't magically get better as time passes.

It frustrates me that the belief that "it will pass" is such a predominant belief around suicide. So not true!

Anyway, feel free to read or listen if the conversation sounds interesting.
