I don't get what they're thinking to actually accuse businesses that literally just sell stuff legally, of assisted suicide??
Like they all have very legitimate uses and to restrict them only cause some idiots (aka us) misuse them to kill themselves doesn't make sense.

Like how would you feel if someone told you that you should stop selling your product only cause someone managed to kill themselves with it... Like that's not your problem, anything can be misused, you also don't ban kitchen knifes cause you could harm others with it, heck some countries don't even ban firearms and their entire purpose is literally to kill people so like, what gives?

Well your average person sees the purpose of a kitchen knife or a rope. In the US they have a specific law allowing you to own fire arms, and that's really political atm. Problem is for items like SN there real life purpose isn't widely known. When Your average halfwit sees SN they just see death salt. So they want to ban it.

still thats just so short sighted, we don't know the use of most chemicals that are important for our food, health, technology industries, etc, but we still know they exist and are legal cause they are useful.

They restricted / practically banned SN because SN is a very effective painless ctb method. And it's the only method that i have seen that hasn't caused brain damage even with so many people brought back in the ER after Sn ingestion. I also haven't seen N brain damage. so that's why these 2 methods are banned.

It's really evil. People will instead try to hang themselves, drown, train , jump etc. all which are brutal painful risky methods and that can leave a person alive but with brain damage or disabled. All those maimed people disabled people that will try to kill themselves with these dangerous methods could have instead used SN or N and not be in even more suffering. And that's what these evil people and this anti-suicide world is causing more extreme torture from maimed people brain damaged people .

And they also take away the most important right an individual has the right to move away from suffering, pain or torture. So this is very evil . But they portray themselves as heros and those of us that point out what they are doing and are for the right to choose to die as being evil and a death cult . no they are the evil ones. What gives them the right to tell me I can't leave this horrible world and life? I choose to and it's none of their business. if i want to use Sn that's my life my business not theirs . they can go jump in the lake or go get old and have to be fed bathed etc in a nursing home in pain demented

Sort of on topic - the psych hospital nearby allows patients belts, but no drawstring pants? What tf is that about?

After all, SN is a desirable method, they want to cruelly stop people taking control over their inevitable fate in a way that is reliable and isn't agonizing as if SN was easily accessible then so many would choose that over enduring pointless suffering as existing truly is so dreadful.

It's completely insane to want to take away all painless method options and leave people with no choice but to die in pain using risky methods, it disgusts me, it's like they forget that we are all just destined to die anyway, to me it's like an illness how some people try and deny that death is inevitable. Like what is the point to suffering so unnecessarily just to be tormented by old age just to die anyway, to die solves all problems after all, and humans deserve a right to die in peace.

I know right. Some families also sue companies for selling their product. That was just too pathetic, they were't even able to respect their loved ones' decision. By limiting our choice we might just end up jumping off a cliff, does it sound better? I would be ashamed to have a family like that.

How hard is it to purify SN by yourself?

I could only find 2 cases of SN sellers being sued, I only briefly looked however.

Amazon

TLDR Alligations: Accused of allowing their algorithm to assemble and offer "suicide kits" to purchasers of SN, including a minor (17yrs old).

Kenneth Law

TLDR Alligations: Accused of counseling or aiding suicide.

Unless there are other examples, these cases make pretty specific accusations. However if you see no crime in the allegations I guess I could see how that might upset someone. Still TBD in court I guess.

I think it's a bit disingenuous to compare SN to kitchen knives. I can understand where they're coming from with these cases. I don't think making your opponents out to be crazy and evil is the most effective argument. That's what they do to us right? Just my 2 cents.

They're angry and grieving. But grieving people aren't the appropriate ones to to dictate policy. Otherwise everything in existence would be forbidden.

wonder if they're gonna try sueing cliffs next.. or the city for not flattening them out
I just don't get their point like, people dont kill themselves cause a method exists, people find methods cause they wanna kill themselves
wheres the point in banning one thing

I am either too dumb to get it or I'm expecting too much of those people and they aren't actually thinking about if what they're doing even makes sense or not.

flatten the cliffs, make the trains go slow and surround each high building with trampoline stuff. XD.
But Kenneth Law really fucked up by saying his product could be used for suicide if done with proper protocols, and I think he even listed those. A stupid moment that didn't seem like a one off. And then it seems he traded his list of customers for an easier time, idk about that part, just assuming. I'm no fan of this guy; he should have done better there. Like dispose of sales records or something. Some very vulnerable people were put through hell, and at least two people cut their plans short because they were so worried they would lose their product. Sad stuff to be rushed at such a time.

funny thing is a lot of these people put more effort into getting the methods banned instead of helping the people that needed it.
