I've been searching for a job actively for this past half year, and non actively for a year. I have a decent education with a bachelors in sociology with an addition of laborlaw, I have perfected my resume to the point where its been given positive feedback from recruiters and chatgpt.

Yet the bombardment of "We are sorry but we are going forward with other applicants" emails it's just too much. Heck, even warehouse jobs aren't possible. My highschool degree was in programming and thank god I didnt go with that in Uni, that job market is fucked.

Why the heck should I go unemployed? I'd rather just die. If society doesnt want me to work, then it can go fuck itself. Anyways thats my vent for today, the goverment can go fuck itself.

I know i dont know about your situation, but there will always be new job-possibilities, especially if you got the experience. It might require moving tho.

Let's say it was high position and there is no such a possibilities on market anymore. it took me a very long process to apply. I was working to this chance more than 15 years. And have taken part in a very long process- i was cut off because of private situation - it was really cruel. Now I have to start from the scratch. I have never thought I will be on such a website.

Being unemployed is a soul sucking job itself. The constant tweaking of cover letters, all the applications to every job you think you might just have a chance with, applying to jobs that you know for a fact you can do that you're probably even overqualified for and not even getting them, getting in called in for an interview and leaving thinking you may just have a shot and either getting ghosted afterwards or you get the "sorry we found someone else" email and then you're just what? Sitting around? Waiting and hoping that someone is willing to give you a chance? It hurts and crushes you.

Yes, according to Bill Gates, we're all going to get a universal basic income and AI will take over most of the jobs in a few years. However, what will we do till then?😆

Also, yes, it's brutal on the mind. They don't say for nothing that an idle mind is the devil's workshop. When I finished college, it took around 6 months to find a job. I enjoyed the initial couple of months or so. After that it was just hell progressively getting worse.

This.
Been over a year.
Lost self-worth.
No reason to get up in the morning.
Lost interest in former hobbies.
Tired of getting hope up again and again.

Funny thing. Personally I rather die than being employed.
I hate working, I hate giving my labor to other people. I just can't stand following a soulless routine doing something I would probably hate just to survive.

I'd prefer to be unemployed to being a treated as "resource".

That's why I don't apply for wage-slave jobs at all. I'm a human not a resource!

That guy is so full of shit. Did you know that he's the largest owner of private farmland in the US? These billionaires see a new world order where they're the kings after the old systems collapse (by their own sabotage, I might add) and then we'll all be prey to their weird social engineering ideas. It'll be horrifying and I'm glad I nope out before.

What's even worse is there's a lot of water on that farmland. They are obviously playing the long game.
