Unfortunately I don't have it and never will. But I'm currious about it.

So question is. Pentobarbital sodium has pH level up to 10-10.5 which is pretty alkaline and can be very harmful orally.
And it is also stated that its toxic if swallowed (H301)

So how it is working to take it orally please explain? Same thing with other barbiturates as I see.
I mean if someone has some powder or lyophylysate form of needed drug and it tastes on tongue literally like poison or battery leaked how it supposed to be taken orally with water?
Also see appendix VI in Dutch protocol
How they recommend to take it orally if it is stated that it is H301 and other stuff?

Pentobarbital is toxic when swallowed, because... well, it is pretty toxic overall and can kill you when enough is swallowed. Many of the common meds are listed as toxic and harmful to health. Theophylline for example is also listed as H301 but still used as medication. The GHS classifications are in some cases not following logic. Morphine is for some reason not listed as H301, but Fentanyl and Heroin are.

I think the GHS/REACH classifications are in part also politically and ideologically motivated/biased.

The pH value does not give you indications in regards of causticity. 50g of sodium carbonate in a liter of water has a pH of 11.5, but is not caustic at all.
