Has anyone tried those online therapy services? I'm skeptical, but where I live treatment is basically inaccessible.

The "Virtual Psychiatrist" that my insurance company "offered" me because I live in a semi-rural area cost $199! (on top of the $266 I already pay per month for insurance.) Total BS.

Betterhelp is full of amatuer unqualified people with no guarantees for literally anything. Do not recommend to anyone

online therapies are a waste of time and money, you might as well go to youtube comments and look for help there, the results would be the same

I have been regularly chatting online with a counselor (a licensed clinical social worker) on Faithful Counseling (the Christian auxiliary of Betterhelp) since January 2018. She is pretty good -- sympathetic and resourceful. Of course, she does not want me to ctb, but I don't want to ctb just yet (I gotta get that novel finished and published, as well as outlive my mom). I would pay to see my counselor in person if that were possible, but she (although she is licensed to practice in my state) lives on the other side of the country. My main problem with my counselor is that she gets ill fairly often and has to reschedule our weekly chats. Also, the regular price for Faithful Counseling is $135 a month, but I get it reduced to $84 a month because of my low income. (I have to apply for financial aid every month.)
