Discussion Night Night vs Partial Hanging

Hello!

I've already shared it many times, but to people who haven't seen me yet, I've failed the Night Night method. I consider partial hanging as a backup plan if Sodium Nitrite fails (or doesn't arrive...) more so before I would try the train. I wonder what is the difference between the two methods - Night Night and hanging -, how I could succeed with partial hanging when Night Night didn't work for me and for anyone else I know. In fact, Night Night's success rate is very low as far as I know. Partial hanging has better statistics. What would make partial hanging more successful than Night Night?

In my experience of tying both to find a comfort level, Night Night needs a lot of setup and partial you can mess up and still "lean into" it, it's easier to stop yourself, so it's easier to keep going.

For me, I could not get the beanbags placed correctly for night-night. Many attempts with lots of adjusting and it just would not work. However, with partial, it only took a few small adjustments to get it right and cut off my blood supply.

The night night method requires more steps so you are most likely gonna "mess up" more rather than doing the partial hanging, also i don't know but i am certain that the partial hanging would be a bit more painful than the night night method.

Thank you for sharing your questions and views about the differences between Night Night and Partial Hanging! I understand that Partial Hanging is simpler than Night Night. According to what I read on the forums, another difference is the direction of the force applied. When hanging, the force is vertical. Night Night applies horizontal force. Although I could never get Night Night right, I might succeed with Partial Hanging. I'll attempt Partial Hanging if my SN doesn't arrive.

Sorry to intrude but thought I could get more info, I've also seen ligature strangulation e.g using a shoe-lace which is a bit wide as another approach. Is this relatively similar to night-night, and falls under it?

While night night and ligature strangulation as well as hanging and tourniquet are similar methods as they all kill you by putting pressure on the carotids, they all do so in different ways so are considered different methods. I would not suggest night night as it requires specific materials and is very finicky which makes not reliable. Of what I know there is only one successful attempt video for that method when hanging has a lot more. I have recently learned about ligature strangulation so I am not going to best at giving info for that.

Someone I know here @darkest has said they were going to try it. If they don't come back online for after quite a bit of time then we either know that it was successful or they got caught and are now in a state where they can't access this site (for example being an vegetable.) I am looking into this method to see if I can maybe do it and will probably practice being able to tie the knots soon on my leg as it says to do in that thread.

Just checked @darkest post you're right. I hope they're okay. Yeah being in a coma, or having partial brain issues if found too early is one of my greatest fears.

Yeah been looking into it and trying it but I seem not get it right lol. Cause even if I get it tight it feels more like I'm crushing my skin more than actually stopping blood supply to the brain. I never get to the "euphoric" part similar to strangulation. Don't know how tight this has to be lol.

I'm currently looking into partial myself, seems the easier option and less ways to mess up. What is the best item to use to hang yourself and where should it be done? I have a closet pole for clothes, it's wood or a door knob. What's the best way to do this?
