• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I've thought recently of yk, trying it out again after many years, that i haven't used it, holy shit, it's so ass, wasted 8€💔, why is it so full of slop? is this what some people genuinely like? taste is taste, and it's subjective, i understand that, but still, mind-blowing to me

is HBO max any better?

Maybe I'm just being overly pessimistic, but I feel like this is the entire world now. Every businessperson in every industry has caught on that it's more profitable to churn out endless garbage than to make something thoughtful and high quality. The entire world is mass-produced plastic garbage. The most discouraging part to me is that the overwhelming majority of people seem to just shrug their shoulders and drink the slop that's being shoved in their faces.

no i get you, you're just being realistic don't confuse that with pessimism, most of the industries don't care about quality, tbf, it's all about money and self rewards at the end of the day,.

I agree. You can compare it with quality programming from the 80s,90s and even the 2000s. They are poles apart.

This is why I just buy older shows on DVD or pirate stuff. If streaming services want my money, they have to make something worth paying for.

Thank private equity. They ruin everything they touch.

Good thing i am too poor to be able to spend any money on this whole subscription crap. I watch things on free sites if at all.

I'll just leave this link here: https://fmhy.pages.dev/video#streaming-sites

Use any form of adblocker if you visit those sites.

I just watch stuff on Youtube. It might not be content that's in vogue, but it's free.
