Venting my last friend off this site is gone

they blocked me a week ago and they do that a lot so ive tried to reach out but nothing. I wanted to say goodbye before i left whenever my SN got here or like have a nive moment but he is done with me i think. It is my fault bc i said no to him but i still wish we couldve talked it out. we have been friends for a few years i wish it didnt end this way whenever i talk to "childhood" friends (my childhood at least lol)

They blocked you purely because you said no to them? What were they asking?

If someone gets angry from you setting boundries and drawing a line, then that may be a cause of concern...

he was just asking for something i wasnt the most comfortable with bc it was a little out of my comfort but ig i kinda led him on by not setting a hard boundry immediately and trying to lightly say no first

I also struggle sometimes with setting boundries about what I am and not comfortable with, so I completely understand feeling intimidated by the thought of fully denying something.

Still, there comes a point where if you genuinely don't want to do something, you should be able to say so and have that choice be respected.

If this person couldn't respectfully accept that you were not comfortable with their request, then that may be someone who isn't acting in your best interest...

I should've mentioned this before but please don't feel like any of this is at all your fault, because it isn't. You were just trying to set boundries, and you cannot be blamed for that.

I'm sorry for this loss. However, 'lightly saying no' is still saying 'no'. You shouldn't have to do something you feel uncomfortable with to maintain their friendship.

yeah, can relate to this. People suck.

OP, don't put yourself down because someone ghosted you for a reason like that, you really deserve better. If someone does that to you, they ain't worth your time.

it's happened too many times, i think i'm just an unlikable person to most people. or maybe my depression is just contagious for some reason. i dont have much faith in people.
