My euthanasia process have been going on since my application in august 2018.
The first interviews started in November of 2019 and went on for the past year.
2 weeks ago I had my last interview with the scen-doctor who had to check if all protocols have been met and everything was correct.
Last week I got the third green-light and my euthanasia team called me to verify if i wanted to proceed with the euthanasia.
I answered yes I still want to die and go on with the euthanasia, we planned a date in the days of 30 / 31.

Because her direct colleague is sick and out of work long term she need to find a replacment.
So a agreed on her situation she needed to find a replacement nurse to support her during the euthanasia.
This is problematic because also because of the risk they take when performing the euthanasia and the justice department.
So totally agreed on the situation and waited.

Now this bloody virus is going around I got a call today,
They euthanasia clinic is shutting down all cases as from now on because of risk of infection.
The government of The Netherlands have locked down the country till 6 of April.

They are not allowed to visit people anymore so euthanasia is off for now.
She ask me to wait till next week so they have more information on the situation also.

This situation pissed me so of this morning I feel so fucking restless now
I am going to call them again tomorrow morning and demand my euthanasia in the week of 30 or the 7th.

Sick and tired of this process I WANT TO DIE.

Yeah wanting my own N again that is getting more now that wish.

I dont feel selfish because I know my diagnosis and mental state / damage.
So i just want to be released of this life with my head. But now even the doctors are backing of because of the corona.

Really want to know how this situation can be resolved. I am not waiting around for a other month.

In the city I am currently studying there is one University and all the students were told to leave student accommodation. Irish people were given 2 days, International students were given 3 days. Cmon, just get outta there. Look for rooms/apartments on your own.

No..
This is purely the psychiatrist and nurses of the euthanasia clinic. I am in euthanasia process. So my team cannot visit me at home or perform the euthanasia because of the lock down and infection risk.

yeah I hope so to.
she said they know we are not infected but still cannot come by for the last meeting at home.
And also not allowed to perform euthanasia for now in these weeks.
but my home doctor said we already know this situation will take longer then only 3 weeks.
The government want people to not get all sick at once but more stretch out over a couple of months.
so probably till july this lock down will stay in countries

So I just called the euthanasia clinic.
They informed me that this situation of corona can take months. But they can't say when they can be back in operation with the interviews and euthanasia.

The 4 week law that i was supposed to die within this time frame is now not a subject thank god. And they say in only some rare cases its needed to send a new scen doctor to verify my request for euthanasia again for the last time.

So i am happy to hear its not a problem thank god. But stil it sucks to again make a new date for my exit.

Yeah its good news.
But still when you are really planning and working on this process of dying in this way its very hard and stressful especially because I have been busy with it for 2 years now.

So its really hard when it gets canceled when you work on it towards your death in these weeks

Just have to wait now until they know when they can continue with their work.
But it will be probably later in April.

Ok update

So yesterday the psychiatrist called me.
They had a meeting about my and other cases that are approved for euthanasia.
The corona situation is bad but they agree on euthanasia now in the mext few week.

So she ask me when i want to go because the road ia clear to go.
So i have set my euthanasia date on 2 april at 11:00 in the morning.

Only next week I have a last interview for round up of the whole thing.

So i will update on my regime of Metoclopramide in the days and the final stuff of this process in part 6

Less than two weeks. It's kinda ironic that an allegedly deadly virus almost kept you from killing yourself. But I'm glad they didn't even consider restarting the process, that would've been absurd and complete torture.

Did follow your story and know what you mean about not feeling any joy in life. It's one of the worst bits, and really a tragedy we're not there yet when it comes to fixing these issues. Maybe in a different time a lot of us would've received the help we need and went on to live happy lives. Thought it was kinda sad when they told you in P3 that they actually couldn't do anything more for you, possibly even making it worse. That's something they'll always avoid saying everywhere else where euthanasia is illegal. Can't say how many of us are beyond help, but the vast majority of us are certainly prefectly sane and reasonable, and well aware of what we're contemplating.

Will you be making a goodbye thread?

Just want to tell you that I very much appreciate your attitude in a discussion. You may not be happy, but you're far more rational than the vast majority of "healthy" people out there, who can't accept an argument if it goes against their way of thinking or undermines their point of view somehow. I respect that and wish we had more people like that.
