The lead singer's voice is beautiful as are the instruments use throughout the instrumental. The chorus sings directly to my soul at the moment.

You can tell the song writer has put a lot of emotion into the crafting of this song. The band Immerse is rather small and I'm not really sure they're still around. I'd classify the song as post-hardcore/punk, which is totally my speed.

This song to me was almost made for my current situation. Somedays I still hold out hope my ex and I will be able to reconcile. It's sad that I do because things won't change and the fact that I can't move on sucks but it almost makes the days easier.

Had always felt, since this song came out, that it had a big message. A lot of us, no matter where we are in the world, shouldn't lie down and just take it. Everything seems to be about profit and control, anymore and that's not been a benefit to the globe. We're only given the illusion of everything being 'good' or 'fine'. Remember, people shouldn't ever be afraid of their governments, their governments should be afraid of the people. We all sign their paychecks and we outnumber them.

Camera Obscura was the first band to fill the void and comfort me when I first started having these thoughts several years ago. My Maudlin Career is wonderful album. This version of "Other Towns and Cities" makes me cry, but it helps.
