I love this song! I don't know completely what the lyrics mean but the joyful looks on their faces as they dance! I lived in the Middle East for years and looooved it.

Silverchair are one of my favourite bands from the 90's. Their first two albums Frogstomp and Freak Show are grunge gems. This is one of my favourite songs from Freak Show.

There's a theory this song is about suicide. I like to think of it like that. Somebody has hurt you so badly that you feel death is the only way out... then that makes that person feel so guilty and responsible that they can't move on. My interpretation is twisted but I love it.
