A while ago an article was realeased in Italy. A boy was found dead by his parents in their car in the garage.
The boy closed all the car vents, and opened two big tanks of argon inside, successiful and i guess, quite painless.
After days his family, after checking the boys computer and find out that he was searching resources of how ctb on web, they contacted both press and police and vented lot about how coult be possible to find so easy in the web resources about suicide and that informations should not readily available. I read all their interview an i ended up quite disappointed by this:
They strongly focused on the METHOD rather than trying to focus on the REASON why their boy decided to ctb, that may vary from mental disorders, pain, familiy related problems, personal problems, etc.etc.
I was quite angry that they blamed the main problem of their loss was the fact that their boy got readily a method to ctb fast and peacefully, instead trying to find out what was wrong in the life of their boy.
From my point of view, trying to lock methods, may just trick the people and force them to ctb in more brutal and inappropriate ways, with higher chance of failure and permanent damage that may increase the tragedy of their already complicated lifes.
Thats the stupidity of many families or, as said "When the hand point at the moon, people look at the finger".
