Story Man took 1176 ibuprofen tablets

idk what prefix this should be under.

im pretty sure this case is pretty old but, theres a man who took 1176 tablets in just one month, he forgot when he took them. im surprised he didnt die from that much intake 28 tablets/day from just forgetting (7 tablets from morning, noon and midnight)

is this why OD's are unreliable?

I just watched the video yesterday and yeah i am not going to try to overdose on anything. Still getting crushed by a shipping container seems to be the best way to go ... well or jump into an active volcano ... maybe that would do something good because a virgin sacrifice is good somehow. ;D

As a group, I wish we could figure this out. It's a difficult problem. SN is an overdose and it's accepted here as a good method. But overdose in general isn't. I understand why as most of the time it's not gonna work you can succeed but there's very low chances.
But I wish we could figure it out. There are other dangerous things out there and the right combinations will kill you. But we don't know them. We just have SN which is severely restricted.

LostAllHope specifically recommends ibuprofen for "suicidal gestures" (as in, a suicide attempt that is made with the intent to not die, ie for attention/cry for help etc.) due to it rarely being lethal.

same! ive thought ab OD's but my instincts r so high lol. i was thinking ab what itd be like to jump into a volcano active or not but, i bet its like being burnt alive whislt being submerged.

did u see his other videos where people ingested NDMA (both cases were in china, both purps were executed). theres also one on a woman (who is pretty known for a lot in her study n expertise) where she had a small spillage of some organic mercury (the deadliest mercury) and she died quickly because it easily seeped through her gloves, she washed her hands but she still was long gone despite all of it.

An active volcano should vaporize your body in seconds AFAIK.

I too saw that mercury video. Poor lady. I think she was also still very young.

What sucks about those china videos is that the people who die in them usually don't want to. This world is weird people who want to die aren't allowed to while people who want to live die by some dumb mistake or lack of security. I saw a video where a group of chinese men got electrocuted while pushing a weird scaffold like contraption through a factory floor. I still hope they died immediately because after a minute or two they all started to burn. What a terrible way to go.

I swallowed like eight paracetamols dry today while I was tweaking out, and I already feel nauseous just hours later, I think having water helps but a thousand pills is just insane

Please tell me more about "suicidal gestures". I know this isn't really a place to discuss, but could be worth noting in my current situation.

It doesn't have much advice on it, as they note that these gestures can easily go wrong and accidentally kill the individual.
The other things they mention is to review the MLD (minimum lethal dose) of the substance they're taking and take half of it at most, to have the packaging of what they took easily visible so that correct medical aid can be given, to have activated charcoal on hand so that aid can be given quickly, and to arrange so that they would be discovered quickly.
