I'm looking for friends on a forum for suicidal people because it didn't work out for me elsewhere. :) I think about this very often because I feel cut off from the world. I see no point in the future. All my attempts to set my life right have ended in failure. I feel an emptiness, as if something is missing. In other words, I feel like a lonely parrot.
I have a strange hyperfixation on works related to robots and artificial intelligence. I'm a programmer, and my hobby is drawing. I'm looking for friends to simply discuss various works or just for creative people, so that we can create and suffer through nonsense together. <3

Located in New England, USA. I like researching and learning. Absolutely enamored with scientific theory and physics such as astronomy. TV is my best and only friend. Movies are my bread and butter to life, it's how I fuel my daydreams. I can watch NOVA on YouTube for 10hrs straight about dark matter . Absolutely love cooking (former chef), it's very therapeutic. Also into tarot and I'm an Animist.

Warning though, I am not right in the head, I'm paranoid, I talk to myself, I make up scenarios just so I have something to think about, I'm anorexic and bulimic, I'm suicidal, I change my mind a lot if I have the option to, I don't talk about my deep feelings, I don't want advice, I don't want a hug, I'm misanthropic, agoraphobic, and ya I'll stop here.

I made a thread about this on the philosophy section of this forum, but what do you think about the potential for AGI to alleviate some cases of loneliness or depression? The question is colored by my own hopes of course. I've been doing working on and studying AI for a while.

Personality: I'm into creative things and anything tiny and cute really. I enjoy playing and creating on sims 4, playing supermarket simulator and I enjoy the concept of marvel rivals although I tried to play for the first time yesterday and I'm absolutely terrible - quite embarrassing tbh. I do not plan to CTB any time soon and hopefully not at all, although I do have BPD and chronic ideation so it makes it harder to live day by day. I also have depression & anxiety.

I don't necessarily mind the gender, but I tend to be more comfortable with males. If you are a female, I may be a little awkward at first but shouldn't matter in long run. I know there are other genders too, I don't know much about them but I won't mind it.

And I expect you to be in somewhat of a recovery phase too or at least someone looking down that path and not actively looking to ctb. Am in US rn, but originally from Nepal.

24 M from Estonia, I spend most of my free time indulging in different forms of escapism (mainly fantasizing/worldbuilding while listening to music in bed, vidya and watching shows/anime/content in general) and researching various topics though I also have an interest in the outdoors (mainly hiking, camping and urban exploring). Aside from all that I also like to cook, bake and brew (beer & cider). Also I'm currently in the process of getting into leather working. Also really into Pathfinder 1e, both it's world and system but I'm not apart of a group
Not depressed and don't consider myself mentally ill, at least not anymore. Still certain I'll become an hero eventually, certainly wouldn't mind dying in an accident or some natural way sooner rather than later at least.

Don't really know what I exactly want in a friend but having someone to play vidya with (steam id is Kanashiitake), watch shows/anime/movies with or discuss topics we both share an interest in sounds nice. Can't stand people that obsess over things they have no control over or worry too much.

Another post on here from me. I am in my 30s, queer and genderqueer, live in the US. Going through extreme chronic illness, chronic pain, and disability issues right now so looking for friends who can handle hearing about that sometimes and won't give me advice or try to make me positive or be weird about it. I'm also mentally ill and autistic and have had a lot of trauma.

I'm around a good amount, but sometimes slow to reply if having pain issues that day and my hands have been messed up lately. But I'm really lonely and going through a particularly hard time with my health and personal life and it's hard to find people who wanna talk to someone who is in a bad space and thinks a lot about the things this forum is about and can just hold space. But I'm happy to listen and I try to be accepting as long as people are respectful and communicative.

Some of my interests include TV, writing, music, and collecting toys and plush. No immediate plans to CTB but if I talk about it, I don't want that to be something that bothers people.

Hey everyone, I'm Gothbird. I'm almost 30, based in New Zealand, and lately I've been posting more than lurking so I thought I'd finally drop something here in the friend thread while I'm still around.

I've got degrees in creative writing and art, though most of my time these days is spent online. I love reading, especially anything scifi, gothic, or strange fantasy. I code a little, game a lot, and there's almost always music playing in the background—helps drown out the world a bit.

I live with agoraphobia, fibromyalgia, BPD, MDD, and I'm very autistic. I have a habit of writing long replies—not because I'm trying to lecture, but because I like to be thorough and think things through properly. So, I'd like to think I'm a good listener.

I'm planning to leave sometime in the next few months, so I'm just trying to spend the time I have left doing things that feel real.
