Spent the last 10 years like Oldboy locked up in my apartment, partially for political reasons, mostly knowing that I could only ever attract negative attention if any at all. The internet is the only place where I can participate on an even footing with anyone who matches my wits and experiences. Just realized that even i had the first bit of sudden success I always strived for, I could not change whom I did degenerate to as an individual in the past decade.

Hey Bruce, you are not alone. I've got a couple decades on you. I also do a lot of outside activities. I'm not alone though, I have The Lunatic to keep me company.

I have 15 years on you and do loads of outdoor activities. I love rock climbing and sailing (which makes me familiar handiling rooes, rigging and tying knots if you get my drift)

Not saying I am a survivor but I have had 50 of dark thoughts since my teens and had one attempted hanging a few weeks ago when it felt like all hope was lost.

I have depression and anxiety. I really would like to recover, though I am a bit skeptical that I will. I was in therapy for a really long time, and tried everything from hospitalizations to ECT. I ended up giving up on that though when they told me I'd probably always feel like this and should consider long-term hospitalization. I decided to do this because I wanted to try to live a normal life for as long as I could. However, this has been very painful.

I enjoy watching anime. Some of my favorites are A Silent Voice, Shinsekai Yori (which is also my favorite book), and the Heaven's Feel films.

I can be quite sad and melancholy, and tend to be skeptical about positive possibilities when I feel negatively about myself. I'm also not really the best at talking to people so I may come off as a little bit awkward.

In my free time I tend to watch shows/movies/anime, listen to music (some of my favorite genres are indie rock, punk rock, folk punk), or watch stuff on YT mostly. My depression makes it hard for me to maintain interest in hobbies, so I am a bit boring, though I do have a passive interest in a lot of topics including philosophy. I also have an interest in IT and technology in general since that is my field of work.

I have several mental illnesses. Depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, CPTSD. I'm only diagnosed with 3 of those but pretty sure all of them fit me. These illnesses make my life pretty difficult. I'd appreciate making a friend who can relate to that struggle.

I like reading, especially the horror and fantasy genre, although I should probably read something less juvenile because of my age, I also liked music a lot until I had covid for the second time and now I got to listen to nature sounds like forests or something like that for tinnitus, I wish the silence came back hahaha, I love cooking, I think it is one of the subjects that I am most passionate about, I love cats I think they are the most adorable living beings in the world, in general I love all the little bugs, except spiders that scare me. The truth is that I haven't had "friendships" as such, or I have screwed them up for fear that they would leave me aside, or in the end they have found better friends, because they saw that I am a very flat person with hardly any evolution.

I don't ask or demand friendship, because everyone has a different concept. Simply sincere people that when they have something to say or doubt your word they tell you or when you tell them something they don't question you.

Pdt: it has nothing to do with it but I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and people don't usually take it well.

I hate capitalism, how I'm supposed to work my life as a slave with ok living conditions at best for some millionaire to become richer. I hate this world, and how governments take advantage of their own people with "democracies" just using brainwashing, propaganda or even more extreme measures to only allow people to vote whoever will jot endanger the status quo. I hate how people impose their worldview on others and don't care about it, dumb people are fun, people with no knowledge on stuff as well, it's so nice to genuinely teach someone something or being taught. If do not have the self-awareness and willingness to accept you're wrong or at least cannot understand why you are, please improve yourself. I love anime and gaming. Unbelievably huge fan of FromSoftware, ProjectMoon and Arknights. I've been looking for home since I was a child, growing up to a family that just wants to impose their own version of happiness to me, one that would be torture. These fictional worlds gave it to me. Also Kasane Teto, love our queen, one period of my life I was so happy because of her I was legitimately having an identity crisis because I couldn't be the gloomy pessimistic edgy guy I've always been. Lifting is awesome, makes me feel well about my body and my abilities.
