Venting Loss is hard

My grandfather had committed suicide yesterday. Now I just feel so empty. He was in pain for a while now and no medication had been working so I don't blame him for what he chose to do. But I just feel incredibly terrible. I can't even remember when the last time was we had a proper conversation.. I was constantly busy with learning for my new job. He was a great man and I loved him a lot. Truly, I hope he found the peace he hoped to achieve and that wherever he maybe now, he found his mother and siblings. And that in his last moment he didn't feel pain or fear. Soon, I'll be getting a tattoo to memorialize him.

I'm sorry to hear about your Grandfather. Songs like he meant a lot to you. I'm glad he's no longer in pain, but please don't feel guilty. It can eat you up inside. A tattoo is a great memorial, I hope you do him some justice with a beautiful piece of art! Hugs to you

I'm sorry for your loss. Living with pain is awful. Like you say, it sounds like he was looking for peace and he has finally found it.
