Hi there, I need an excuse for picking up a nitrogen cylinder.

So far I told them that I have a boyfriend that uses it for his business, but what business? I'm picking up an 80 cuft cylinder (size 16) so it's quite a bit of nitrogen.

What can I say he does?

Hey there, friend.

I have before used nitrogen to test drive HVAC systems by pressurizing them before filling them up with the (more expensive) refrigerant and also for displacing impurities in the lines.

So, you can safely say he uses it for his HVAC business. If prompted about it, just say you're not too sure about it, but you think they use it for cleaning the refrigerant lines. It also has many other usages in the HVAC sector, so it's perfect.
